close to offas dyke path, great place to stay. Lynn is lovely, very welcoming and helpful with transport, eating options etc, and Ian gave us a lift to bishops castle and back to have supper in the 3 tuns [ recommended too]. great breakfast, great views - after a day on the switchback I need a bath - one room has shower not bath which might be a problem if she is full and you are a bather - it didnt matter because lynn suggested I use the other bathroom. Brilliant all round.

Everything was just perfect with our stay at the Oakley, from the moment we arrived we where made to feel very welcome. The standard of the room is also way beyond what the £70 they charge, bright, modern and spacious with a great size bathroom. There is also a guest lounge with a log burner that must be very welcoming in the winter after a long walk. Breakfast was perfect and there was no awkward wondering what time to go to breakfast or what to order as we simply filled in an order form on arrival. Thank you again to Lynne and Ian.

From the moment we were picked up at our rendezvous (walking Offa's Dyke) to the moment we were dropped back at the path next morning everything was excellent.

The room was superb - spacious, spotlessly clean and with all the facilities we needed and as soon as we were spruced up we were served tea and cake in the lounge, which also had a large TV which meant we could catch up on the Olympics. And Lynne was a perfect hostess - attentive but careful not to be intrusive.

Our evening meal was delicious, and made even more pleasant by the lovely view to the hills, as was breakfast.

This is bed and breakfast at it's best.

Walking Offa's Dyke Path we ended up at Oakley where we were received by Lynne as if we were friends of the family with a cup of tea and homemade cakes. The sitting room had a 180 degrees view of the valley and the hills and so had our room with a supersize bed and good bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean, modern and brandnew.A very nice 3 course meal was served. Lynne caters for vegetarians as well.Nice log fire in the sitting room was pleasant because of the foul weather.Next day the weather looked ominous again and Lynne loaded her 3 guests into her car, taking them to the next stop on the walk or-in our case- halfway, round a flooded area. She even brought a forgotten shirt round to our next B&B with a load of other people's luggage. Thank you Lynne. You really made a difference.

By far the best B&B we have ever stayed in! It's set in a peaceful location with beautiful views out over the surrounding countryside. Lynne and Ian are extremely welcoming and made us feel very at home. Really impressed by both the bedrooms and en-suites - spacious, lovely decor and spotlessly clean! Would highly recommend.

Walking from Knighton to Oswestry we spent three nights at this delightful B & B. Lynne and Ian were the perfect hosts and, often returning cold and wet in December, there was always a pot of hot coffee, mince pie and cake waiting for us. The breakfast was delicious with expansive views into Shropshire from the dining room. First class!
