The structures in the recreated village are marvelously preserved and presented, with friendly, knowledgeable docents. The church and cemetery are touching.
The farm yard and Victorian garden are simply splendid. We've usually seen animals working during our visits; the village has some gorgeous Canadian geldings as well as the usual range of PEI farm animals and fowl.
There is a simple cafe with basic homemade food.
The museum has some very special oral histories which I highly recommend, as well as a pleasant shop with decent quality gifts.
After visiting Orwell Village, I suggest you carry on to Belfast Mills for a unique experience.
