Spire cottage is such a lovely place to stay especially when on a business trip. Jan made me feel welcome brought me a pot of tea and cake while I got settled in. I chose the Spotted Cow Pub to have my evening meal which is located across the road two minutes away. The food there was basic but plentiful.
The room I stayed in had a four poster and luxury ensuite with the deepest bath I've ever seen. There was also a double shower and heated towel rail. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous. I would recommend staying to all and will come back to stay as a holiday maker in the future. Thank you

Room Tip: Room 1 double aspect with good view of corn field. Great bath

We recently spent two nights at Spire Cottage. Jan made us very welcome from the start and throughout our stay. A fresh pot of tea on our arrival was very welcome. The cottage is quaint, made all the more interesting with its history.

Our room was extremely comfortable, quiet and spacious with lovely furnishings and wonderful views from the double aspect windows. The attention to detail is excellent, including a nice hospitality tray, hand lotion and a small fridge with complimentary bottled water and chocolate!
The (non-working) fireplace adds to the charm.

The large bathroom is very elegant. A double shower, huge bath, lovely toiletries and large, soft bath towels. Beautiful sumptuous bathrobes give it a luxurious appeal.

The breakfast room is very attractive and homely. There is a wide choice of fresh fruit, pastries and cereals on offer before a delicious freshly cooked breakfast consisting of a variety of quality local ingredients. And if you've got room, there is an impressive array of homemade preserves to compliment the homemade bread.

All in all, we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend Spire Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Spire Cottage and were sorry to leave after the two nights. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean and the private bathroom was equally welcoming. The complimentary toiletries and chocolate were a nice touch. Jan, the owner, was very hospitable yet unobtrusive and we felt very much at home in her lovely cottage. Breakfast was a delight - a selection of fresh fruit and cereal followed by a choice of cooked options, and homemade toast and preserves, all of which were nicely presented in a relaxed dining room. We had a very pleasant stay and we hope to return some day.

Room Tip: We chose the double room with private bathroom. The room was lovely and the bathroom just a few ste...

We recently spent two nights at Spire Cottage and can thoroughly recommend it. We stayed in the annexe room which has it's own private garden. Upon arrival Jan the owner greeted us with a pot of tea which was gratefully received after our journey. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. After our tea Jan pointed us in the direction of the canal and we took a leisurely stroll into Chichester which took us about 45 minutes. Breakfast was delicious with a varying choice. The complimentary bottled water and chocolate which we came cross in the fridge was very thoughtful. We were extremely satisfied with our short break and a more genial host you couldn't wish to find. We shall definitely be returning.

Room Tip: We stayed in the annexe room and were extremely satisfied

We had a lovely couple of nights here. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was amazing - the best we've had anywhere! Jan was really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The location was brilliant too: lovely walk into Chichester along the canal. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the Chichester area - much better than a noisy city centre chain hotel!

My wife and I have just returned from staying 2 nights at Spire Cottage. Jan and her husband run a first class B&B. The rooms are spotless, beds and most important ,pillows soft, all the white linen is sparkling bright and the towels soft. The dressing gowns are silky soft. Breakfast is top rate with choice of cereals, freshly squeezed orange juice and fabulous home cooked main course. The percolated coffee was excellent. I loved the home made selection of jams. So good, were they, that I bought six bottles. I consider myself fussy but I found it very difficult to find fault. We chose the only room without a bathroom ensuite ( but we did have our private bathroom ). Ours was five paces down the corridor but is was ours !! Wi-Fi is on tap and free.
I heartily recommend Spire Cottage. We will stay ther again next year if we visit the Chichester Theatre.

We spent three relaxing days at Spire cottage ,where we stayed in the garden room.On our arrival we were given a pot of tea in the tiny but perfect garden attached to the garden room. This started our short break off to lovely start which continued to get better.
Hunston is on the canal which takes you straight into Chichester,a delightful walk and only 40 mins.
Our welcome was warm but not in our face.
Breakfast delicious.
So all in all spot on .
