These private gardens are only open on certain days of the year so its best to check before setting out. The gardens here are such a delight that you have to view all, sometimes twice. They also have plants for sale which are good quality. In a side court yard there is a refreshment area for teas and cakes, I found the cakes a little overpriced. Just at the back of the refreshment area you will find a beautiful little church which is also open. Back into the gardens you can rest an take in the views on the terrace where Alfred Lord Tennyson is reputed to have written his famous line 'Come into the Garden Maud'.
