“Spectacular views....get down there if you can!”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

This place is a must if you hire a car....it only took us an hour from Faliraki as roads very good and well signposted...download Greece Satnav if you can as it was a big help!
Yes it is a bit windy bur that's to be expected as it's where two seas meet and is at the most south part of the island!
Popular for surfers and kite flying you can just sit and watch was hours...we were amazed by even little children kite surfing!
Views are fantastic from any side so please add this wonderful place of interest to your to do list as it is worth the drive!!

“Very Windy!!!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

Myself and my girlfriend went to Prasonisi because we thought it would be a nice half day trip. The trip would have been great had it been 2 hours and not 4 and a half.

Good bits- The place is very picturesque and we got some nice photos.

Some of the wind surfers are fantastic to watch.

The sea with huge waves was quite good fun.

Bad bits- not a whole lot to do really.

Incredibly windy so you can't 'relax on the beach' as Thomas Cook's brochure said.

Restaurant was abit expensive n not great quality for what it was.

Had a walk across to the island and there wasn't a lot there and it's all uphill. Nice views from the top for pictures though.

I think if you are driving there it is worth a quick half n hour/hour look. Wouldn't pay 20 Euros per person for the excursion though.

“Kiteboarding in Rhodes, Greece”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

"90 days of Kiteboarding/kitesurfing in Rhodes, Greece - Prasonisi spot."

WIND: Constant Greek winds offers a 5 months(May-Oct) of 20/25knts. Easy to plan even shorter holidays due to the fact that it is unlikely to get more than couple of days without wind.. Best sizes for average (70-85kg) person are in a range of 9m2 kite, however the perfect gear to cover all winds in prasonisi is 7m2 and 10m2 kites.. There are plenty of spots on the north side of island as well however, they're usually offering at least 5knots weaker winds..

ACCOMODATION: If you're planning a kite holiday, best option is to look for accommodation in Prasonisi... Also, there is a small village Kattavia (8km from the spot) and other bigger village called Gennadi (20km from the spot).. Even though Gennadi is quite a distance from the spot, it is situated close to the Lindos where all the tourist attractions and night life happens.. Due to the fact that in Rhodes, renting a car is a best option of travelling around this small island, Gennadi would be a mid -point between Kiteboarding and other activities while taking a day off from the surfing..

OTHER: WARNING!!! July/August is a high season so the spot gets extremely crowded!!

“Where two seas meet”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

This is another lovely place to visit, it is where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean sea. It is a favourite with kite surfers.

“Breathtaking views”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

A windsurfer and kite surfer's paradise. Once you drive over the top of the hill the sight that hits you is amazing. It is a very unique spot with a couple of restaurants, supermarkets, great sun beds and usually always a welcoming breeze which is great for sunbathing with sometimes quite strong winds.
