The setting, the rooms, the decorations and plants in the gardens are all beautiful. The room was large with good mosquito netting. No kettle - a general problem in Madagascar - but since the power was not available a lot of the time that's rather academic.
Food was good - breakfast in particular. Unlike some other reviewers, obtaining vegan food didn't seem too difficult although a bit tedious in the explaining. Not quite up to the standard expected for an up- market hotel.
The staff were friendly and generally helpful - lovely pool which was necessary to dip into as it was very hot while we were there.
We went off walking in the nearby park in the morning (after breakfast) - with temperatures going into the 40s. A very early start with return to the hotel for brunch would have been preferable - but meal times were fairly closely set.More
