“AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2013

We booked this hotel for 2 nights through budgetplaces.com 4 days before we arrived. The day after we booked we got an email from budgetplaces saying there was a problem with our booking and to contact Hipotel to confirm, which we did immediately. We were told that the room was definitely reserved for us and to arrive as expected.
Upon arrival we were informed by the manager, Alain, that our booking had been cancelled the day before by budgetplaces and that they were full, however, there was a place not far away that could accommodate us for one night (at extra cost) and we could come back the following night. After a little debate and with little option, we agreed and said we would contact budgetplaces to organise a refund of our deposit. When we spoke to budgetplaces they informed us that they only cancel bookings at the request of the hotel and Hipotel had cancelled our booking the day before we arrived, which meant that Alain had lied to us. What would motivate him to do that? Also, for that reason, we could not get a refund of our deposit.
The next evening we went back to Hipotel as agreed and the person on reception was the man we spoke to who confirmed our booking over the phone a couple of days prior. With our new information from budgetplaces.com we quizzed him about what had happened. It came to light that the hotel had been fully booked for a month prior and that they did not have a password for thier budgetplaces account to reflect that. I am still unsure why he told us over the phone that we were booked except for greed i.e. if someone cancelled, we were there to fill the gap. We agreed to speak to Alain again when he would be there in the morning.
After spending the night there, the next morning we spoke to Alain about the whole scenario. Because we had more information than he thought, he became very embarrased but still tried to deny he had done anything wrong. Because of his doing we ended up about 40 euro out of pocket and had our plans disrupted.
All that said, we have stayed in many low cost hotels and other accommodation and have little in the way of expectations of such places. However, the room at Hipotel was similar to the service we received, very sub standard. It was untidy and smelly and it took a while to get to sleep with the noise of people in the corridor. The fact we were so tired was the only reason we slept at all.
Do yourself a favour and DON'T BOOK HERE!!!

Room Tip: The seat at the train station is the best room.

We chose this hotel as a place to stay before and after out day at Disney. That being said, it served it's purpose. With the RER station in such close proximity, the trip to Disney was quick and painless. For us it was about convenience more than anything, but this was definitely a sub-standard hotel. Those things don't bother us much, but if you like you 3 stars and up, this isn't for you.

The neighbourhood is a bit sketchy and there is not much. I wouldn't recommend exploring the area as I'm certain this would be a waste of time. If you're looking for a place to stay for travel to Disney and aren't expecting luxury, then this place is OK. There were no bugs. I don't think I would stay here again.

The hotel was close to the train station and I was worried about the place when I saw it. The service is fine but the room was not tidy, and even after I made the remark to the hotel's reception, my room was not properly cleaned up. The room was chilly and when I tried to turn on the heater, it did not work. Fortunately enough, the bed linen was ok and there were not little insects to be found in the room... Anyway, I would not come back...

Although at first sight the neighbourhood is not first class, the hotel itself is nice, confortable and clean, services and staff are friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is OK for french habit but not for mine, fortunatelly a supermarket is close "Super U" and you can find there everything you need. You have no problems with bringing food into the room (I have had this problem in the past in France).Anyway, there is nice yoghurt, cereals, fresh baguette, butter, jams, honey, tea&coffee and obviously fresh croissants. Beds are comfy and for the children there are two folding beds on the wall (safe and funny for the little ones).Bathroom was OK with tube, but the most important thing, it was clean. In the end even the neighbourhood prooved to be safe and very quiet. Hotel location is ideal for the Disneyland, but for Paris center is at least 30min. to count with public transport (RER&metro). As a conclusion, you can choose this hotel if you are on budget travel, with children (preschoolers or above), for Disneyland destination, it is very close to the train station and you will have no problems at all.

Found the hotel very cheap (we paid 110 euros for 2 nights in a triple room,) it was clean & in an ideal location. The RER station is opposite and is 5 stops to Disney and about 15-20 mins to Paris. We managed to get our 2 children (7 and 4) in the single bed, so did not need the quadruple room. The car was parked outside the reception door for free and there is a security camera over looking the front door. The area does look a bit rough but we had no bad experiences at anytime of day (even coming back from Disney after 11pm.) We drove past it initially because you seem to drive over the pavement to get to the car park and only recongnised it from the photo on the website as it appears to be changing its name to Hotel Luzard. I would definitely use it again.

This hotel is about 10 minutes from Disneyland Paris and is right next to the train station. When I arrived, I found that the room didn't get CNN like they advertised. I called the front desk and they immediately moved my room across the hall where CNN did come in. Unfourtunatly, the wireless Internet stopped working. I mentioned that and they immediately moved me again to a large room on a lower floor and the internet is great. The front desk was very helpful. The neighborhood looks a little shady, and there is graffiti on lots of building, but all in all, the hotel exceeds my expectations.

This hotel is located in a not-so-posh area, but is a very pleasant, clean hotel. There is a lift, which was great for my mother, who has difficulty climbing stairs, and would be great for young babies in buggies/strollers.

The breakfast was adequate, hostel-type food, bread, croissants, jam, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, etc, but there was a lot of it

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful.

The only downside for me was that there were no restaurants open till late, when we all had the munchies!

We will stay here again.
