This restaurant is just across the road from the Scandic Hotel and I believe the building used to be a church. The exterior isn't particularly spectacular but the restaurant itself is very welcoming once you're through the porch area.
We didn't make a reservation on any evening we went there, but we always managed to get a table without having to wait. I think that might have been more to do with our dining habits since we seem to eat a bit later than our Danish counterparts - most restaurants close at 10pm.
When you're seated you'll receive a menu and a card to fill in where you tick the type of steak you want, how you want it cooked, what sauce you want it served with and how you want your accompanying potatoes done. All steaks come with a salad which you help yourself to from the salad buffet - try the house dressing, it's amazing!
The steak itself (I ordered the tenderloin) was cooked to perfection and just the way I ordered it. It was absolutely delicious and served on a very hot cast iron serving plate which ensured that it warm until I was finished.
The restaurant offers a selection of wines to choose from and there's beer or soft drinks too.
It's not cheap. 270DKK for a medium sized tenderloin and a bottle of wine will be more than that. Is it worth it? Absolutely - they really know what they are doing!
