The place is situated very close to the train and bus station in Vejle, so that is why I chose it.
I guess if I had booked in advance, I would have got a better deal, but for my last minute booking I was charged 789dk which I think was a bit overpriced.
Rooms are simple and clean, not much luxury and excess. A pleasant touch was the breakfast bag they gave me for checking out too early. Like other guests on the web, I cannot say I was convinced by the "art" atmosphere and did not really like the monotonous colors at the corridors and rooms. Would also have liked a gym.
I would call this a very good 3 star, but 4 stars? Don't know....

On our family holiday to Legoland we decided to stay in the lovely Vejle. Hotel Torvehallerne was our choice, and we loved it! The room was really large even with the two extrabeds open, it was opposite to an old church. The bathroom was large with a bathtub, kids loved it! Other amenities were a large flat screen tv and free wi-fi, which worked fine. One minus was the lack of air condition, we didn't mind as the weather wasn't very warm at the moment, but I could imagine in a warm summer season it might be a problem. The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety, the restaurant area was huge with a glass ceiling. We liked the hotel a lot and would recommend especially to families.

Regular stop on my travels in Denmark, we say that enjoys fame as it has no competition nearby.

Mediocre rooms, without praise nor disgrace is only the price that makes up their noses, too.

In some rooms the wi-fi does not reach.

Good restaurant, a large indoor eating area easy but very good, especially frame.

Stayed one night late September 2012 during a union congress. Was in room 510. Room was huge and clean with two single beds pushed together, desk and chair, two comfortable chairs and a small table, a bean bag and a wardrobe with minibar. A big flatscreen tv on the wall. Very Scandinavian decor, some will find it too bland and white. Room had three windows. Bathroom was also big with a huge sink and shower in a big bathtub. Bed and linen was very nice and made for a god night's sleep. There was only one piece of soap in the bathroom but two bottles of shampoo which was strange. Did not check out the minibar and did not use wifi. Breakfast buffet was a bit bland. Bread was alright though. Had dinner with the other delegates at the hotel. Food was okay but nothing special. Service was bad - for instance a vegetarian at my table had her main course served after the rest of us had finished ours (had to start while food was warm) even though she had advised the hotel that she did not eat meat. No excuses given. I did not pay myself so I can't really evaluate the price-quality ratio. But overall I rate this hotel experience three star while the room itself was between three and four stars.

We arrived in Vejle via train from Copenhagen and despite seeing the hotel sign from the railway station we had a hard time finding the hotel entrance - it was way round the back of the building, and very inconspicuous. In truth it wasn't very far, though - it only felt that way when we didn't find our way immediately.

The staff was nice and accommodating, and the lobby looked nice enough. The rest of the hotel was rather a bit worn, though.

Our room was adequate in size and furnishings; the extra bed we had asked for when we booked was as expected; but everything was battered around the edges. Still, good enough for our needs. We slept really well.

The hotel is spread out over several buildings, connected by short stairs and hallways. We had a room just across the old church, which chimes on the hour. In the evening this is no problem, and during the night it is muted, but it can be at bit irritating when it starts chiming again at 7 AM. At least if you really want to sleep in.

The breakfast was so-and-so but adequate; hardest thing on hotel breakfast buffets is often to find something our rather picky son accepts to eat. Here they had chocolate cereals (which he never gets otherwise so revel over when he's allowed them) and pancakes, which made him happy, even if we felt the choice to be otherwise a bit poor.

The free wifi didn't have coverage in our room, the router closest to us was on the other side of what might had been a physical firewall, before the hotel was built. To us this was a minor nuisance only.

Location was great for us as it is close to the pedestrianised streets; close to some nice restaurants; and close to the bus station. The last of which was very convenient as our main reason for staying in Vejle was to go to Legoland with son. It might seem like a 40-minute bus-ride is a stretch but we found it a fast and easy trip - bus 143 to Billund Lufthavn, once every hour (timetables can be had at the tourist information office, just across the square from the railway station).

A warning for anyone who want to go shopping: shops close at 5:30 PM, most days. By then the streets becomes eerily empty.

Could have been really nice, the city of Vejle is very nice and the hotel has a great location. Also near to Legoland. The room was ok, but very average. A lot of stairs and doors to get to the room. No AC. Breakfast ok. Carparking in hotelgarage 110DKK for 2 days. But this will be our last Best Western hotel. They charge extra for paying with creditcard and also take a environment fee 4,7%!

The hotel could not be better located in Vejle, which is a charming town in itself. However the hotel does not make the most of its setting. The breakfast buffet is repetitive, and the a la carte menu in the evenings is overpriced (DKK 260 for a weinerschnitzel).
The decor is disastrous, consisting of a pastiche of the local Vejle newspaper reproduced as carpet and wall art.
All in all, underwhelming
