When you enter Alfa Omega you have to options; to visit the bar or the restaurant. If you choose the restaurant, which is small, nice and simple, you will come into a good, but a little busy atmosphere.
Some of the experience at Alfa Omega's depends on where you are seated. The room is built in a non- proportional U shape, and if you are placed on a table on the oposite side of the entrance you may feel a little disconnected from the rest of the restaurant.
The menu is based on food and products from the north of Norway, like reindeer for example. The food tastes good, but the quality varies. Still you can find something for each taste, and there is also a children's menu.
To sum up: Alfa Omega is informal, has good food, OK service and is placed in the center of Alta. It is really worth the visit, but it will not be your most extraordinary or mind-blowing restaurant experience.
