“For Norway reasonably priced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

Situated on the outside of shopping mall, reasonable cafe, they do a small help yourself buffet at lunch time and a small menu, fish soup was good, buffet ok but good value if you are hungry. Waitress on her own and forgot to serve wine we ordered at counter. Not many restaurants in Alta which was a strange place full of new building, we spent ages looking for a hub or a center to find there wasn't one. Tourist information in the library (we spent ages looking for that too).

“Good food and nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

Situated in a shopping mall, the restaurant is very good. The interior is modern, informal and cosy and the food is also good, home-made and of a good quality. Prices are a bit high but this is common for the whole Northern Norway. The waitress was alone for quite many people and when ordering the food she forgot to ask us about the drinks. The restaurant should invest in professional waiters as it would make the whole experience even better.

“Nice, Informal cafe with good quality food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2013 via mobile

I was a bit sceptic to this place, since it I s situated in a shopping-mall, but it quickly won me over with a nice rustic interior sporting reindeer-furs and benches, and a helpfull and smiling staff.
The food is good quality, and I was impressed with the "homemade" pickles on the burger. It's a small thing, but to me it shows that they are trying to do something extra.
When we pointed out that they had spelled "Riesling" wrong in the menu, the waitor was embarassed, and told me they had actually had a discussion about that; too bad they landed on the wrong option, but again, it shows that they care about the details.
As mentioned, this place is informal, but maybe a bit too much: I think you should get a napkin with your meal without having to ask, and I also think salt and pepper should be available on all tables.
I am also not a big fan of serving food on rectangular plates, but maybe that's just me.
All in all a cafe above average.
