This was the second time we have stayed with Colin and Angela and will certainly return again and again. We were welcomed as if we were family with a cup of tea and freshly made cake and this is repeated every afternoon on returning from a day out. The rooms are furnished to the highest standards with comfortable beds. Dinner is freshly cooked by Colin and is of the highest standard. It is served by Angela, who is an excellent hostess. Breakfast is another feast setting you up for the day exploring the island. Nothing is too much trouble for Angela and Colin who look after their guests as if they are their own family.
The quiet location is ideal as it is in the centre of the island and less than 30 minutes from the ferries.
Cannot wait to return next year.

We have been to stay with Angela and Colin several times now, and each occasion has been wonderful. From the immaculate garden to the spacious rooms, the modern and well stocked bathrooms, the accomodation is perfect. But even better is the way they welcome you into their home and the amazing food that Colin produces, both breakfast and evening meal. Bring a good wine with you, the food deserves it. Views from the lounge are a bonus - deer, eagles and the mountains in the sunset are not guaranteed but are very possible.

A stay at Gruline Home Farm offers guaranteed bliss. The setting is secluded but with lovely views. The rooms offer all possible comforts while on holiday, and the evening meal is a veritable dinner party with superb food and animated conversation. Angela and Colin are the perfect hosts, offering helpful advice about activities of interest, walks, wildlife, and places to visit. A few days there is relaxing and restorative, but beware – you will become addicted!

Gruline Home Farm was excellent. Beautiful farm house and they selected best furniture and linens in guest rooms. We did not take dinner (only B&B) but next mornig we regreted. Breakfast was more than we expected. Plenty of home made food and warm dishes are very tasty and delicate. So we recommend B&B+D to try.

A haven of peace and quiet where one is spoilt by the attention of Colin and Angela whilst one relaxes on the scenic Island of Mull. Centrally located, and serving an extremely high standard of both breakfast and evening dinner, one can go and enjoy the coastline, walking and wildlife knowing that after return to Gruline Home Farm one doesn't have to move again to go out for a meal. Small is beautiful - three twin bedded en-suite rooms and a maximum of eight around the dinner table to exchange views and relate the days tales. Some ancilliary touches are best not actually mentioned in this review - they can be the secrets to surprise any guests wishing to visit - but if you appreciate some finer aspects of life you will not be disappointed. The outlook onto the hills from the conservatory is stunning in the pink glow of a sunset, or a constant source of interest as more murky weather filters its way across the hillside and clouds settle into the hidden contours - not to mention the larger birdlife that is often witnessed whilst just quietly sipping a cuppa. Some may feel that choosing the subsequent evening meal immediately after a hearty breakfast (dare you to have a bit of everything!), and tomorrows breakfast while lounging after the wonderful dinner, is a somewhat onerous task, but it is a regime that works for Colin and Angela and is contributory to the smooth-running of the whole operation. As befits the surroundings, service attention and food (cooked by Colin himself), pack a couple of smarter outfits for evening dinner - it will be appreciated. Overall it is a place to enjoy a quality of life on holiday (or most other times for that matter) that is extremely rare - this was the latest visit over the course of a few years. Limited acceptance of dogs. Children under 16 not accepted.

The reviewers who praise this accommodation are certainly not overstating its worth. It is a country guest house. The rooms are excellent and the food supreme. Angela and Colin are very friendly and welcoming; the splendid meals a result of Colin's cooking. Being in the middle of Mull it is easily possible to visit all parts af an attractive island.
