Well the summer in july 2014 was amazing. During more than 10 days a heat wave hit Norway including Stavanger.
At daytime temperatures did hit 30 C and did just go below 20 at night.
WOW - the Sola Beach is just a perfect place to be. We went there 3 times in a week.
The beach long and fairly wide and is likely one of the finest sand beach you will find in Norway.
The water temperature is about 22 C - nice to cool down. The beach is child friendly since is does not get deep quickly.
Go there by car. There are fine fine free parking spaces. We did arrive before noon and it was not a problem finding a place to park the car.
One day we came for a swim before dusk. There were still many people enjoying the warm evening.
Well if a heat wave hits Stavanger again - go there :-)
