“Convenient but expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

Vey convenient for the airport but food and drink is exorbitant even for Norway. Rooms vary from excellent (maritime) to barely acceptable (Scandinavian ) where the mattress was softer than a cloud and incredibly uncomfortable so it was almost impossible to sleep. Food is incredibly expensive (worth repeating)

This was a very convenient hotel to stay for the airport, particularly if you have problems with your luggage and have to wait around for an hour for the airport to find it because the check-in clerk had checked it through to Heathrow rather than Oslo !! The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with plenty of storage even if the decoration was a bit naff - Large over-ornate crystal framed mirror and very oversized plastic chilli on the wall. It was nice to have a bath but strange not to have a bath mat or flannels, hot water had a brown tinge and the complimentary bath gels etc were difficult to get out of the containers. Being so close to the airport I expected more noise but the double-glazing did an excellent job and noise was not a problem. It was refreshing to actually be able to open the windows. As it's a large hotel it can be confusing finding your room and the corridors were painted a disgusting purple. I was highly amused when I checked in to find out which room my husband was in and asked them to let him know I had arrived (I'd sent him ahead to check in as his luggage was found quickly by the airport) when it was queried that I was his wife with a raised eyebrow. Breakfast was good. What was bad was that the minibar price list in the room was incorrect, we were charged more for the items we had drunk as we were informed the prices had increased, this really isn't acceptable the pricing information in your room should be correct, we will be writing to the hotel to complain.

We stayed here before our flight to Longyearbyen to reach our ship for an Arctic Cruise. Also after the cruise there was a nights' stop here on the way back to Heathrow. The check-in was very efficient, oriental features of the room being a large chilli on the wall!! The only grumbles were no bath mats which made the tiled floor very slippery with wet feet and too hot a temperature in most of the hotel!
If you are interested in wildlife and have some spare time it's worth taking a walk out towards the railway station, turn right and then walk along Edvard Greig Way. It does have car parks interspersed along the way but we saw many wildflowers and quite a few bird species.

So easy to reach as we arrived very late one night and had an early morning flight out - we were checked in and in our room within 20 minutes of our flight landing ! Breakfast very good. Only issue for me was that the room was very warm and we couldn't work out how to operate the air con

I arrived in Oslo in the evening and had a flight out early in the morning 6a.m. Radisson Blu Airport Hotel Oslo is a great hotel for transiting. It is located just opposite the airport within 5 mins walking distance.
Service was excellent and room was clean. That's about all.

I arrived in Oslo in the evening and had a flight out early the next morning, so this was a very convenient place to stay. It is just a short walk across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was very good and large. I would recommend staying here if you have an early morning flight!

I've stayed here a couple of times with work, in summer and winter.
Very close to the airport(2 minute walk).
1 min walk to the High speed train to Oslo
Clean, as you would expect in Norway.
Decent sized rooms
Helpful reception staff(house keeping staff recruited from around the world so limited English)
Gym ok
Awesome buffet breakfast

Room Tip: Some rooms don't have the best aspect, north side best, but you're looking toward the airpor...
