“Peaceful Retreat ”
Reviewed 6 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just come back from an amazingly relaxed and perfect 2 night break to this newly opened lodge. Set on the grounds of a farm house (which is a bed & breakfast with amazing rooms), you can't get anymore idyllic. Surrounded by nothing by fields and forests, it was easy to kick back and enjoy the peace. The lodge itself has been professionally built, fitted out and decorated. What once was an old stable, has now become a cosy lodge with everything you could ask for. Brilliant decor, comfy sofa, dining table for if you want to eat indoors or of the weather is nice, open up the French doors and enjoy eating Al fresco on the decked area to the back of the lodge. A well equipped kitchen with a 4 ring burner and a cool box to put any food and drink you might have. Chrissy provided us with frozen packs to put in there too! We had everything we needed to cook up a meal. We even had a bbq and found we had every utensil we would need to flip burger or turn our chicken. The highlight of the stay would be the beds. In a cabin style, the beds are of high quality with thick duvets, soft pillows, clean sheets and 2 warm blankets, ensuring a warm and comfy nights sleep. Although not ensuite, there is a newly built and modern shower/utility room. This was for the soul use of lodge guests and had a sink to wash up in aswell as a separate toilet and shower.
If you are looking for a break away from the rat race but don't want to rough it camping, this is a must. Low key comfort but with the home comforts! Will definitely be back for a return visit soon. Well done Chrissy!!
