Booked as part of the Blue Cross Sale (January), although have dined previously and always had an excellent experience.
Booked early special (last sitting 6:15), think the price was £6.50 per person. For this price you got a soup, main course (from a choice of approx 6), rice, chips or noodles, and dessert (choice of 3).
We also ordered the Duck Pancakes at an extra cost of £2.50 per person.
Firstly, even though we had booked for this special, the quality and quantity were that of a meal costing three times that much, there was plenty of meat in main dishes (I had paid extra for King Prawn), service was fantastic and we were certainly not rushed, in fact we were in the restaurant until 8:15.
Staff were very pleasant and brought us a selection of crackers and dip. Food was extremely well presented, bowls had been warmed, food served in seperate dishes, which is great if you are planning on sharing.
Surroundings are lovely and we were lucky to get a window table with views of the seafront.
All in all, a lovely meal, there are some fantastic special offers on at present and if you sign up to the Tavistock website they regularly text you other offers (example beginning of December me and 5 friends enjoyed a three course meal with half a bottle of wine each for £14.95 at peak time on a Saturday). Also they offer special offers with rooms if you are looking for an overnight stay.
Thank you Thai China for a very pleasant evening with fanastic food.
