went here on the spur of the moment to try it out (first time since it changed hands) can say it looks good
it wasn't exceptionally busy, service was good, nice and friendly waitresses, food lovely and hot and plenty of it, good service for one of the bairns
lunch time menu is good value as you can compare it to the main menu and you save a load on the 3 course meal
glad I went there.

The bar, restaraunt and public areas are all very nice, the bedrooms were very basic and the carpets on the hall and landings very tired. The cost of a twin room was 60.00 breakfast not included and you had to vacate by 10.00 am.

If you were getting in late all the shutters were down and you had to knock on a specific window for the porter to let you in !!!!

Staff were all friendly. Could have got a lot better for 60.00 in new travel lodge in city cente :(

Room Tip: Get a non smoking room ours did have a deep smell of tobacco

Recently refurbished. Bar is nice and friendly serving good food, ironic then that they don't do breakfast. Rooms are a good size with comfy beds and good views. There is a nice walk from the harbour along the river to the city centre which takes about 20-30 mins.

I went on easter weekend for Sunday lunch we were not told there was any time delay to the food however after waiting over an hour staff were saying they had ran out of the meat we had ordered and also the veg. Everyone around us waited for over an hour also to have all there dinners mixed up, some were even finished before the rest of there group had been served. We decided to cancel our dinners to be told "it's easter weekend what do you expect" no apology or anything. I was surprised since the staff have been lovely on the previous occasion I have been yet some were very rude this time. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Decided to pay a visit as we had heard it had been refurbished. Glad we did! The interior looks fab and the new menu (£5.95 for 3 course meal) was great value for money.

Staff were friendly and the ambiance was great. We will definitely revisit on a regular basis!
