My husband and I visited this place on recommendations from friends. We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with our two small children. Staff were warm, friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond the call of duty when our boisterous offspring spilled drinks all over the table and themselves! The fantastic lady behind the counter even took my daughter's wet clothes and dried them for her, leaving her with a spare apron to put on while she did so! They were extremely child-friendly, offering to prepare bespoke choices of meals for the children, and their meals were hearty portions, excellent quality and were very well received by their little recipients.
The menu is small but this is no bad thing - it simply reflects the attention to detail that goes into preparing the food. The food is excellent quality. My husband and I shared the huntsman's lunch which comprised of ham, bread, a selection of delicious cheeses (the only time I have ever enjoyed smoked cheese!), a hand raised pork pie, a large sausage roll and a delicious scotch egg with an actual soft-boiled centre (again, the only time I have ever enjoyed one!), pickles and relishes.
I would thoroughly recommend this and will be returning soon, hopefully to try out the supper club without the kids in tow!
