Hi everyone I stayed at the premier Inn Wessington Way Sunderland, myself and 2 children had a lovely stay, premier inn staff are competant very helpful, very friendly, happy chatty and great at their job, the room was very clean, comfortable, there was a lovely television on the wall, great for the kids, free wifi for 30 mins which proved very helpful indeed. The tea milk etc was topped up every morning, clean cups etc, the only problem was the steam didnt seem to go away and the windows dont open much so it was a bit hot, other than that a great stay and very quiet after the first night as on that night a an next door was snoring so i didnt sleep too well. We also ate in the brewers fare restaraunt, which was awful, we had to wait for ages for our meal and even longer for our dessert, terrible service and terrible food, we ate elsewhere after that.

Room Tip: choose a room away from the road as its quite noisy otherwise, we got a room on the road side but they changed it no bother for me

DEFINATLEY CHOOSE THIS PREMIER INN, stayed at this hotel, for one night, on 27th May, from the moment i walked in i felt right at home, the greeting i got from the receptionist was lovely, warm and polite. didnt even have to ask for directions of what was around me, the receptionist immediatley took the initaive and told me about the facilities next door, any relevant links to the city centre and other places of interest.

I did pay the full flexible rate for this hotel of £55, rather than the saver of £29 as that rate was no longer avialble for that date.......still the £55 was well worth it and i would of payed more, for the outstanding service, polite staff, very clean and tidy an very good sized rooms, with a what looked to be at least a 42 inch television.

Next door is the Wessington Arms, a lovely quiet and extremely polite again, restuarant/bar. food was very nice. food prices ranging from £4-£10 so fairly cheap, but dont let that put you off as the food was actually very good. it wasn't michelin star, but get real look at the price, it was lovely food though.

If your coming up as a couple or alone, there is a lovely pathway literally across the road that leads you down to the river, if u want a relaxing stroll on a lovely evening the scenery down the river is a amazing an relaxing.

ok now very slight downside. it is a little out the way. if your coming by car 10-15 mins from city centre. if your public transport, which i was this is what i payed.

city centre to hotel taxi £9

hotel to nearest metro station ( Stadium of light, St peters.) £7.unfortuantley it isnt really walking distance.

DEFINATLEY AM RETURNING NEXT MONTH, FANTASTIC HOTEL. maybe a little out the way but is peaceful, quiet and lovely nights sleep. as the advert goes.

Chose this PI, rather than other one in Sunderland because it had a better trip advisor rating. It was a very clean Premier Inn and all the staff were very polite. Didn't have any meals at the adjoining pub because visiting family. Because of the hot weather a fan had been put in the room along with a note to say why the curtains may be shut. However, did not need the fan, room was ok with window open and not noisy either. Would definitely stay again. A taxi from Sunderland town centre to the hotel was £8.00

Budget hotel get what you pay for and its very clean, ive always chose premier in to other hotels such as travel lodge as the bed, pillows and overall stay is usually better.

We use this Premier inn when possible whilst visiting family in Washington. The rooms are always clean as is the usual for these places. Connected to the hotel is a decent "family pub" which can get a bit noisy with little people running to and from the soft play area which may bother some people but not us. Food in the pub is reasonably prices and good quality.

Room Tip: rooms on the car park side tend to be a bit quieter
