“The Fish Is Amazing”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

I eat out on most Saturday afternoons with my elderly mother, sister and friend and like to try different establishments for our lunches. We have visited The Shipwrights Hotel which is situated on the river bank a couple of times in the last two months and have found the food really lovely and tasty. I have never seen a battered cod so big! It overlapped the huge plate and was absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We usually sit next to the roaring fire which is lovely especially when chilly outside. Please visit and you won't be disappointed.

“Dont let your standards slip”
Reviewed 11 October 2013 via mobile

When it first got took over the Sunday lunch was something to shout about. Even the veg tasted amazing. But on our last visit it had gone down hill to a average. I can do better myself. Beef was chewy, dinner warm, veg bland. Speak to your cheif, feed this back.

“Lovely Sunday dinner ”
Reviewed 7 October 2013 via mobile

Just popped in off the off chance that that they were still serving dinners ( it was half 3) and got seated no bother, I got the lamb and my partner got the turkey, there was plenty veg and gravy and It was piping hot. The only down side to the place is the drinks are a bit pricy £4.50 for a glass of wine.
