“Ah man....that Steak & Ale pie was top drawer!...”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

Had heard a rumor that the food was 2nd to none, so thought I`d give it a go.
Great starter with the Bruschetta, fresh n` tasty with the right size portion.
Main course was that pie, full of flavour man, succulent steak and generous sides of veg
Finshed with a great Sticky Toffee pud which left me fit to burst....ha.
Staff were great, really friendly, and can`t wait for my next visit....

“Best restaurant ever”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

After previous visits haven't been for two years. Family came up from devon and asked about the cavelier because its close by so we looked at recent reviews and saw the good comments and gave it a go.
Wow we were very happy with the whole experience!
Saturday night, hen do and drinkers in but this did not matter one bit because we didn't see or hear them in the beautiful dinning area.
Jungle curry, fish and hunters chicken all gorgeous, served piping.
Some reviews said service was a bit iffy. We had a sweet young girl serving, she didn't know everything off by heart but that was fine because she couldn't do enough to help! Brilliant service. I would have returned just from the service but happily the food makes this place 5/5.

“Mothers day treat”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

Family treat for mothers day. Didn't book but we were made more than welcome and only waited 5 minutes for a table. First time for Sunday lunch. Really nice tasty food. Meat cooked lovely and really liked the cauliflower cheese. Good portion for my grandchildren too. Passed on dessert but my daughter had summer pudding and said was delicious. Thanks for a lovely day. Will be back again.
