Travelling for work. Stayed at this premier Inn in Sunderland, really good location as it's right next door to a really cool bar, Dr. Feel Good went across for Tapas in the evening with my colleges and the cocktails were amazing, the food was delicious and there was so much variety!! We had such a good time there and I will definitely be returning there soon! The beds were comfy and the staff were really accommodating, it was the best premier Inn I've ever stayed in. The next morning we went across for breakfast at Liberty Browns which is the restaurant next door, there was a large selection and it was a buffet style which meant you could keep going back for more!! It was by far the best breakfast I've ever had.

We were on business in Sunderland, the company had booked the accommodation so wasn't expecting anything too flash, the hotel was really lovely and staff very friendly, breakfast the next morning served in the next door restaurant Liberty Brown was delicious and again staff couldn't do enough to help. What did surprise us though was the Tapas Bar next door Dr Feel good, what an amazing night we had food was absolutely delicious and cocktails out of this world, I would recommend the location of this hotel to anyone.

All in all a great stay

We always try and stay at premier inn because you know what your getting, however this is the worst I have experienced.
The hotel is OK clean and fairly newish.
The rooms was clean and warm, however after a long day I wanted a bath only to find that the tub was minuscule in length.
The noise from the road was very loud and interrupted my sleep.
the attached restaurant was not very good especially if you have small children it was rammed on the night, long waits for food and queues for drinks.
We went for breakfast the next morning, only to find a cramped self service area, cool coffee, poor fruit salad selection, dirty plates, old broken toasters.
It has to be the worst premier inn I have stayed at and will be avoiding in the future.

We spent a night in this hotel on the Saturday before Christmas. It's your usual Premier Inn. The rooms are nice enough with big comfy beds and nice hot showers. Very quite too. I slept like a log. Obviously nowhere special but great value at only £29. The only real let down was the breakfast in the restaurant next door. We took one look at the all you can eat buffet and left as it looked truly awful. Glad to say we hadn't pre-booked breakfast as it definitely didn't look worth the money. Sleep here but eat elsewhere!

Stayed in this hotel last week with my friend after attending an event in the area.
Really nice and just what you'd expect from a premier inn.

Bed wast the comfiest but nothing that really upset my stay.
Room is pretty standard but had everything i needed.

We ate breakfast at the restaurant next door called Liberty Browns, it was a buffet style breakfast with the usual beans, mush rooms and really nice sausages and bacon which is a rare site!

Overall it had a good variety and staff were very friendly when we arrived.

I'm actually thinking about booking this hotel again next time were in the area as its really good value and hard to ind a decent place to eat in the morning so would come back because of that alone.

One night stay on the 23rd November ruined by inadequate soundproofing, not from outside (even though we were in room 1, next to the bar) but from the room above. We arrived after 10pm with two young children checked in and tried going to sleep straight away. Forget it. Every noise from the room above was audible and literally it felt that we had a herd of elephants staying above us. We were awake until well after midnight as a result, and the noises resumed before 5am in the morning. Totally inadequate soundproofing and a ruined night's sleep as a result- even in spite of wearing earplugs. Given the last time I had stayed in this hotel there had been a fight in the corridor, I felt discretion was the better part of valour.

In all other respects fine- friendly reception, adequate parking and reasonable breakfast choice and value.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor to avoid totally inadequate noise.

stopped in the premier inn sunderland north for 1 night in november.

hotel looked a little tired to me...worst premier inn ive been in probably.

restaurant next door liberty browns...little bit OTT for a wet and windy night in the north east...tad expensive.

good nights sleep, best hotel shower for a while...would use again if the £29 a night deal was on.
