This was my first visit since the glass center was refurbished and i was most impressed. The history of glass making was very well presented & extremely interesting. I also enjoyed the exhibition of modern glass. An enjoyable visit was finished off with a good coffee & a brows round a very good shop. I look forward to future visits.

Visited the NGC a number of times, always something different going on. You can watch the glass makers blow glass and make something from a vase to a bowl. During the school holidays something is normally always on for the kids to take part in most are free but occasionally a small payment of £4.00 or so covers it.

Restaurant slightly over priced but still good value.

Had to submit a review just to say how much we loved the bauble making workshop we did as a group of friends. Coffees in the brasserie, followed by the workshop run by two guys who were excellent- making it safe yet relaxed and fun, and finally a mooch around the seductive glass art exhibitions. All in all a fantastic morning out, with a big glass bauble to take home (3 days later note for visitors to the region) would love to do it again next year!

We attended this event in company with family members for a christmas present to blow your own christmas baubles. I cannot fault the event at all the two staff members who took us for the bauble event were very knowledgable and made us all feel at great ease when blowing the glass. The event itself was fantastic and something very different and special allowing each of us to blow our own unique bauble for our christmas trees and get hands on there was no sitting back and watching your were right in it doing it yourself. I would recommend this event to all, it is not really that expensive and works about about £25 each but you get to take your own bauble home a few days later. I will be recommending this to all my friends and family such a great day out.

The newly refurbished National Glass Centre is quite a special place. Great location and views with a lovely walk on the glass roof but with great displays inside, including the option to watch or try glass blowing. Very good bistro too as well as a different shop.
