Paprika is elegant in every aspect from the decor to the well balanced and exciting menu. Reasonably priced, great service. Only complaint is that in a restaurant of it's size the atmoshpere is hit and miss.

Much as I love Italian and Indian food, there is not much else in downtown Sunderland, so this Modern British restaurant is a welcome change. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Good service with a very homely feel. I have been about 6 times. They only open Thu, Fri, Sat evenings, so booking is pretty much essential. Never tried on a lunchtime, so can't comment.

A small restaurant hidden away down stairs but nicely decorated, relaxed and helpful staff. Food tasted superb, beautifully presented and accompanied with a good bottle of wine. The dishes on the blackboard change regularly with a great variety. Already looking forward to my next visit. Definetly a hidden gem of Sunderland.
