I went with my boyfriend and we had a great time! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The room has a nice balcony with sea-view which was lovely. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel has small parking free of charge but it was full almost every day but across the street was a big, public pay-parking. A short walk from the hotel is the beach Plage Mala. Its a nice beach where you rent a sunbed for 43€ its a bit expensive but nice.We will definitely go back and stay in this hotel.

My friend and I stayed here recently when we booked to go to the Monte Carlo Open tennis tournament and it really was a good find. The hotel is situated on the main road to Monaco but we had rooms at the back (23 and 24) which had sea views and very large balconies with table and chairs, sun bed and electronic sun shade, and we were not disturbed at all by any traffic noise. As previous articles mention, there is a bus outside that takes you to Monaco, and the station is near the beach which is a nice walk down but quite strenuous uphill walk back! The room itself was simple, quite large and spotlessly clean and the bathroom had a really good shower. The owner, Beatrice, is just lovely and very helpful and the breakfast, which was included in the price, was continental, fresh and tasty with cheese and ham and yogurts etc. Opposite the hotel is the tourist office and also a really lovely little park.
All in all a great place to stay if you don’t want to pay Monaco’s inflated prices – it may only be two star but actually we thought it better than that and certainly better than some 3 and 4 star hotels we had stayed at in the past!

My wife and I travelled to the Cote d'Azur for 4 days, staying at the Hotel Miramar for the entire time. We booked a double room with a view and a balcony (a must). This way, you have a great view of the sea and you look onto a small courtyard below (instead of the busy main street that connects all the locals towns and cities).

The room itself is nothing to write home about although is clean and comfortable which is mainly what we look for in a hotel as we only stay for a short time. The price of the hotel was much cheaper that something equivalent in nearby Nice or Monaco yet all nearby towns and cities are very accessible. A city bus which picks you up right outside the hotel and arrives every 15 minutes can take you to Monaco (5 minutes) and Nice (35 minutes) and all towns in between. Take note that the bus is quite busy and the driver often treats the windy, hilly coastal road as an F1 racetrack so be prepared to hang onto something when you get on.

The owner of the hotel (who is at the front desk there nearly the entire time). Is quite friendly and helpful and had some great suggestions for our travels.
The only drawback was that the town of Cap d'Ail is quite small so your choices on places to eat are somewhat limited and there's only one restaurant open on a Sunday evening (although this seems to be common in all the places we went in France).

This hotel is excellent in many ways - service, location, scenery, price. I travelled with two of my girlfriends and it was a great ''launching pad'' to Nice and Monaco - each only a 15 minute train or bus ride away. Our room had a big balcony overlooking the sea. We even slept outside one night! The rooms are well looked after with a spacious and very nice shower room. Free wifi access. It is family run and the service is excellent and very friendly and professional at the same time. There are incredibly beautiful beaches very nearby. Breakfast is very nice too. Right beside the hotel, there is a super market. I would definitely go back there! :)

We visted Cote D'Azur for the first time and stayed at the Miramar as it was cheap and gave easy access to Monaco and Monte Carlo which are walking distance, or a short bus / taxi trip.

The rooms were of adequate standard to sleep but did not offer much for day time activity. Bus stop is outside which makes travelling very easy. Amazing view of the sea from the balcony. 10 minute walk to a nice beach with an amazing evening restaurant.

Absolute bargain for this location. Highly recommended.

Well my second stay at the hotel and this hotel is just amazing value for money. We did not hire a car this time so we had to rely on public transfport, so here are some key facts about getting arround.

Taxi to/from Nice Airport to Hotel, 80euro it took about 30 minutes.

Taxi to/from Monte Carlo to Hotel, 17 Euro took about 10 minutes.

Bus, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, they start running at about 6am and finish at about 8.30pm it costs 1.30 Euro's!!!! The bus can either drop you off in Monaco Harbour or at the top in Casino Square Monte Carlo.

We have booked to stay in this hotel again, in May for the Grand Prix, And their price increase compaired to other hotels in very minimal.

From the street this hotel looks like a shoebox, in true 70th style. But it's a truly great place to stay!
Make sure you ask for a room with a balcony, they are HUGE and have a great view over the mediterranean.

Family run hotel and they're very helpful and friendly. No restaurant in the hotel, but a couple on the same street.
SPAR supermarket just 50 mtrs from hotel.
Just infront of the hotel there's a bus to Monaco ( 7 minutes) and to Nice ( 30 min) should you not have a car.

It's also possible to walk to Monte Carlo in about 45 min.

  • Liked — The big balcony with perfect view - and the rpoximity to Monte Carlo by bus
