We arrived at this restaurant wanting a table for 9, they said they could fit us and would set up some tables together outside. The setting is wonderful, great views. However we were a little worried when every restaurant around them was full up and could not fit us, yet they were relatively empty. We watched as the waiter took 15mins to just set the tables as we stood around waiting. They then took another 20 mins approx. to take our order.... we actually had to call the waiter over to take it. They had been informed that we only had a couple of hours to eat in, but they assured us that would be no problem. There was another very long wait til the food actually arrived. My pasta was a very small portion and very ordinary tasting, however my husband's Risotto was aweful and could not be eaten. My husband did not want to make a fuss so just left it on his plate til the others had finished. I then mentioned to them that my husband could not eat his Risotto so they all tried it.. The expressions and gasps of ... yuk and horrid and trying to spit it out, said it all. One of the other guests then took the plate to the kitchen and showed it to them. They agreed to not charge us for that meal however the whole experience ruined what started out to be a most enjoyable evening.
If this restaurant was a cheap one i would not have been so upset, but their meals were relatively expensive but the quantity and quality were very poor. The time it took to serve us was the longest i have ever experienced given there were only another 2 couples in the restaurant at the time who had alreay got their mains. It seemed like they just couldnt be bothered and took so long we had to rush the mains and had no time for dessert and quite frankly left hungry. The others in our group also voiced that their meals were very ordinary and of a small quantity.
