it was my first time in malta, and it will definitly not be my last! what a lovely place! i think there is something for everyone, sceneic, relaxing or partying...me and my boyfriend did all 3, and shopped too :-) the george was perfect for that! walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. staff were friendly, and happy to help us with anything. breakfast was really nice...plenty of options. my only negative is not enough sun loungers around the pool, but we got there early and staff advised us to remove other guests towls if they were not there, which we did! some guests were so selfish as to save beds with towels then not be there all day! very rude!!! there is a italian style restaurant next door to the hotel...dont go there! slow, rude, and average food, when u eventually get it! me and my boyfriends meals came separate. .i ate and finished mine then hes arrived!rediculous!!! but 'the george' is a definate thumbs up!!! :-)

Rooms clean modern comfortable the only down side are the 'city views' but still not even a problem as the whole experience is so nice. The location in Paceville is amazing it's close enough to the party street 45 second walk but far enough away to not hear noise all night. I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. The Breakfast option is really worth it the standard of the food is very good and I am a very fussy eater and I suffer badly with my stomach but the quality of the foot in this hotel helped minimise my discomfort. THERE IS 1 PROBLEM HOWEVER - Roof Pool is amazing but there aren't enough beds for the number of rooms, that said I had a bed everyday as I am not afraid to move a towel from a bed I someone is clearly not there and just being difficult. The staff were AMAZING and couldn't do enough to help with everything the managers are such lovely people and the reception staff are as good as any hotel I have ever stayed at so well done guys you have a fan for life!! See you soon - Ben Pace

Room Tip: Front of the hotel is a much better 'City View'

I stayed at The George for the second time after enjoying my stay there last year. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in, we were delighted to find we had a free upgrade to a superior deluxe room with 2 giant king sized beds and a balcony with a view of St Juliens Bay. The room once again was spotlessly clean. After a few drinks at the lobby bar we headed out for a great night out in Paceville. We spent the following morning around the roof top pool which has a really chilled vibe and very comfortable loungers. Before heading out on our second night we spent 45 mins enjoying the sauna, steam room, hot tub, and basement pool.
If you are looking for a nice modern hotel within the busy night life of Paceville then I don't think you can go far wrong!!!

Stayed for 1 week in Malta at 32 degrees in hotel The George. Perfect location but not for light sleepers. Better to take a room in the Hilton then.

Positive: location very close to public transport & to restaurants & bars (visit the Black Bull bar with happy hour on cocktails in the evening) - everything brand new in this hotel - very good aircon everywhere - spacious rooms

Negative: too much noise from the street - although everything is new in this hotel the repair service of the hotel is not doing a good job as we changed our room from 1st floor to 5th floor to have less street noice and in both rooms things were broke in the bathroom - not enough chairs at the rooftop pool in busy season (first days of July we could not relax at the pool) - breakfast is too simple for a 4* - very slow internet in hotel lobby

Room Tip: Ask for the 5th floor to have less street noise

The George Hotel is the best by far and a real jewell in the heart of the best location in Malta. Being a new hotel, every facility and state-of-the art luxury has ben thought of, from the stunning decor to crisp white bath towels and linen. We booked a studio room with a small ultra modern kitchen, but there are so many restaurants and supermarkets in the area and the hotel restaurant is a perfect place to start. The pool on the top floor has sweeping sea views and it is very relaxing, the gorgeous Mediterranean is only a few minutes walk away and a refreshing change for long swims. All the staff are extra helpful, from supplying soft-top for the beds (we are not into orthopediac!) to checking on any business queries and information we needed and giving utmost assistance with any request. If we could move to Malta, we would stay here permanently!!!
