One word to say it all "Excellent " . Me and my friend went over for an overnight stay on Christmas Eve and we were given excellent service. There was an overbooking of the room we had booked yet they still did their utmost to make up for it and take the hassle to provide us with the requested room and make sure that we had the same priviliedges like everyone else. The receptionist if I am not mistaken was called Josef was very polite and helpful and took great care of us until our room was ready. In other words I would definitely suggest this Hotel to everyone because its central to Paceville , it is beautiful and very clean but most of all it has very welcoming staff!

Room Tip: Studio flats are great. Equipped with everything that can make you feel home ! Ideal for those who prefer to spend a relaxing weekend inside cooking . Rooms are equipped with all necessary utensils

Very centrally places with some excellent restaurants nearby and near the night-life of Paceville. A short walk to the buses and hotel has a car-park.

Reception, restaurant, rooms and staff were excellent. 4 free public computers. The view from the roof-top swimming pool was great, but too cold to swim outdoors.

Although there are spa facilities, the changing rooms are small (room for only one person to change) but have 2 showers with no products (shower gel) or hair-dryer and no locker facilities and the pool itself was on the cold side. If the spa facilities were better this would make it an excellent place to stay in the winter months.

Room Tip: Our 6th floor room overlooked the Courtyard, I guess the front rooms (that have a balcony may be noisy from the surrounding bars.

The hotel is located just a few hundred meters from the center of nightlife in Paceville, featuring clubs and bars (mainly for teenagers), but also many good restaurants (e.g. Hugo's). The hotel offers modern, large and high quality rooms, there is parking facility, the staff is helpful and professional. The only sandy beach in the area (St. George's bay) is in walking distance, appr. 5 minutes away. Good value for money.

Room Tip: Apartment rooms are pretty large.

We stayed at The George last week, our room was excellent and without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the timescale of 7-10am should suit most body clocks. The hotel is not situated on the bay but is only a short walk away.

My Husband and I stayed here from the 18th October to 1st November 2012. We originally booked a junior suite, but then decided to upgrade to a penthouse suite.

when we arrived we were warmly greeted at reception. The staff were all pleasant and appeared happy to help.

The breakfast was always plentiful and you had a wide choice of cheeses and meats along with the cooked breakfast. Again the staff always had a smile on their face.

There was a good wireless signal in the hotel, we were on the 5th floor and could connect to the wireless signal.

We payed extra to access the movies, as there was only a news channel available in English. This also gave us wired access to the internet. The movie choices were ok, perhaps a little dated.

The suite was very nice, the living area was spacious, with access to the huge balcony. The balcony had chairs, table and sun loungers

The bedroom was very nice so was the bathroom, with a walk in shower and a bath. The addition of the Molton Brown toiletries was nice.

The towels were changed daily and the housekeeping staff were courteous and very efficient.

We didnt try the Spa so no comment on that.

The pool area at the top of the hotel was nice. It wasnt too sunny so we didnt spend much time up there.

There is a small shop in the lobby were you can purchase snacks etc. It is reasonably priced too.

We ate out most of the time but a couple of times we opted for a takeaway. The reception staff arranged for us to have plates and cutlery sent to the room.

The area around the hotel was nice there are lots of restaurants and little bars. Hiccups just down the street from the hotel was lovely, run by a man called Charlie, famous for his burgers! He also likes a game of backgammon.

Other places we tried nearby and liked was The Royal Oak a nice pub with friendly staff and good food! Heidi the young lady behind the bar was lovely, crazy but lovely!

Corks Irish bar. Run by very nice people. Good beer! The Scotsman, great fish and chips and a good kakaoke night.

We didnt spend all our time in the pub.... honest.

If you like Chinese food then try the Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, my husband says that this food was the best chinese food he has ever had. We ate here 4 times! Emperor of India Indian Restaurant, this was ok but nothing special only ate here once.

There are many pastry shops selling hot food, the snacks are nice and very cheap.

There is so much to do and visit in Malta. Wer did the coach tours, North and South also the harbour tours, visit the war museum and visited the Hospital built by the Knights of St John. A magnificant building. Also the Malta experience is worth a visit.

The bus prices are so cheap. 2 euro 60 for an all day ticket and you can travel anywhere on the Island with this.

If you are getting a cab look up E-cabs on google. The have fixed prices for routes and are far cheaper than the white taxis!

St Julians is very busy at the weekends but we didnt hear any noise at night.

Check out was quick. They staff forgot to charge us for our upgrade. We did remind them to take the cash. Honesty is the best policy!

I would say the people we met in Malta made the holiday for us. Everyone was so friendly, we will definately be back. Would we stay again in the George Hotel....... Definately!

Room Tip: We had Suite 504. It was nice and quiet and you could connect to wireless here too at no cost.
