Reviewed 25 August 2014

Good looking property in an excellent location just in the outskirts of Paceville. Taxi from airport took about 20 minutes and costs 20 EUR when using pre-paid taxi.
Check-in experience smooth, staff was helpful and nice. Room keys must be used to access elevator.
Stayed on the 5th floor penthouse suite, although it wasn't on the top floor, the view was magnificent to the Mediterranean sea. Room looked nice, comfortable bed, Molton Brown amenties, Illy coffee machine with daily coffee capsules provided. Empty fridge (wondered where was the mini-bar, however things were available from 24/7 small shop downstairs). Comfortable armchair and couch, on the balcony table, two chairs and two sunbeds for private sunbathing, which was nice.
In the bathroom a bath and shower - very convenient, however there wasn't a place to put showergel or shampoo in the shower.
Overall it was a nice hotel, however WiFi system very strange - you need to access WiFi every day. The quality of WiFi in the room was ok, but it was unavailable on the terrace. In addition the cleaning was substandard. On some days housekeeping forgot to provide amenties, coffee and in one case even forgot to take out the trash although the housekeeper was tipped.
Outdoor pool rather small, water full of chlorine, few sunbeds, but great view.
Indoor pool - it was broken - steamroom was fixed by the receptionist, however no jaccuzzi due to maintanance.

To sum it all up - the hotel was good, however it was falling apart piece by piece and the wonderful staff that was there, could not help against that.

Room Tip: Penthouse suites on the 5th floor can have a seaview.

Visited here as a bit of a last minute family holiday and was very impressed with the whole experience. The hotel was modern looking very clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. The rooftop pool and bar was not the biggest but was never overcrowded and we were alway able to get a lounger. The bar was well equipped and staff made an effort to remember previous orders and were knowledgeable about their products. We dinned in the resturant which was ok but lacked atmosphere and was a tad on the pricey side for what you get. If you are looking for a hotel in this part of Malta then definitely consider the George as an option.

Good looking property, which was below expectations. Good location in the party district. Hotel is modern, but internal finishing quality not up to its standart or potential. Stayed in the 6th floor penthouse suite. Wifi not working in room, only on the terrace, complained to the reception on first day, nothing happened. Ants on the terrace, which bite you. Have complained 3 days in a row, each day reception has sent maintenance, next morning same situation, ants are back. Hotel SPA center needs maintanance, jacuzzi not working, after asking staff fixed steam room which was broken, shower broken. I never had to ask a hotel to fix problems on a daily basis, thats the reason this property is below the expectation I had. On the positive side staff are friendly and helpful, but they can't fix the maintenance and construction problems this property has.

Upon our arrival we were upgraded to the penthouse suite instead of the junior suite since the hotel was full. It was a beautiful spacious room! Very good service by the hotel staff, relaxing pool area both indoor and outdoor and good breakfast. An overall wonderful stay. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend it!

Stayed for 12 nights in one of the Penthouse rooms which has its own sun bathing terrace with sun loungers. This turned out be our best move as their no way I am getting up at 4am, to fight for a sun bed by the tiny roof top pool, when I am on holiday.

The room was very comfortable if not a bit stark and spartan and the bed was extra comfortable. We stayed room only and managed to survive doing our own thing in the room for breakfast as their is an Illy coffee maker in the room.

The hotel is on the edge of Paceville and the area frequented by the 'young set'. The hotel is also over the road from an English language school and the street is crammed with young foreigners who have no regard for normal manners or protocols. Not the hotels fault but be warned.

This is quite a nice hotel but due to its location, I probably wont return.

Room Tip: The Penthouse rooms on the 5th floor face east and give sun until about 3:45pm. This side of the ho...

A clean and friendly hotel for travellers going to St Julians. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, rooms were clean and well- sized, and it was generally a good distance from all attractions and bus stop. However, cleaning was inconsistent and done at rather odd times. Also, the pool, being on the roof, can be deceiptively small and not quite big enough to suit a family with young children. Nevertheless it is a well located and nice hotel that we would recommend to most travellers looking for a clean and friendly place to stay. Do be aware that this hotel is amidst much nightlife and therefore can get a bit noisy after 9 O' clock and carries some unsuitable behaviour for young children.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are quite large and adequate for families.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was ideal as a base because it was close to restaurants and the bus stop. We had a great stay and took in a lot of the sights. Some of the fish we ate at dinner in the restaurants in the bay were simply perfect. Also very impressed with the local wine! The hotl restaurant was not brilliant but the breakfasts were very good. A nice little shop a few doors down sold very reasonably priced Prosecco and local treats.
