Description: Caffe` Portomaso is the oldest outlet of the Marina Restaurants fleet and has been operating successfully since 2003. It is situated below the Portomaso Business Tower (adjacent to the Hilton Hotel) and is a great place for shoppers, sightseers and the business community for a quick drink or a bite to eat. Caffe` Portomaso, like all the other outlets, has both inside and outside seating. The outside terrace is set up with outdoor wicker furniture where canopies are opened in order to shelter guests from the strong rays of the sun in the summer months and the rain in the winter months. Caffe` Portomaso has got an inside seating capacity of approximately eighty covers and an outside seating capacity of forty covers. The inside is designed to give a warm and 'homey' feeling, where many choose to make the coffee shop their spot to have a cup of coffee and read the newspaper in the morning.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

This is a lovely cafe' in a really good area. Good service but I was disappointed in the bacon and egg Fatira I got. They had wonderful picture of it in the menu but when it came out it looked like a bit of ham with 2 bits of sliced BOILED egg in it. At nearly £5 it wasn't worth it as you can get the real thing for £2.99 in most cafe's around that area. They do great ice creams and the like and it's worth a try, but watch out for the 'kid on' succulent bacon and egg roll.

“Service?!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

The best ice cream I had!! Price for the ice cream was VERY reasonable! But one can not complain about the service, because there is no service. It was truly unbelievable - it was always full of people, and lots of waiters, but one had to ask for assistance - else one would wait ad infinitum. And the same to pay, unbelievable.

“Excellent Lunch”
Reviewed 16 September 2013 via mobile

Excellent lunch in nice location sitting out on the terrace. Try the wonderful Maltese bread sandwiches all with a huge variety of filings or go for lunchtime salad , enormous portions !! A very pleasant way to spend an hour at lunchtime with friendly and helpful staff
