“Quality at a reasonable price”

Stayed a week on business after using the Intercontinental last year. This time Hilton provided a more competitive cost for "club" rooms so we enjoyed the business lounge too providing complimentary breakfasts, teas, coffees, afternoon sandwiches and pre-dinner drinks. All the staff were very helpful and efficient. The facilities are as to be expected of the Hilton brand, super rooms. Only drawback compared to Intercontinental is that the free wi-fi access is limited to the lounges at the Hilton, if you want to use it in the room you have to pay extra.

Its not hard to see why this is the best hotel on the Island.
Top quality Hilton accomodation, nice room , excellent pool area , great breakfast and really friendly staff.
Within a 5 minute walk of at least 10 good quality restaurants and the casino.
What more could you ask for ?!

Room Tip: its cheesy - but try the open top bus tour !

Stayed at the3 Hilton St Julians, Malta, for a week from 8th June -15th june and had a great time in Malta overall. The hotel however, was the stuff of nightmares. Generally speaking, the setting is wonderful, as are the public areas of the hotel, including the pool.

I stayed in a very old Mediterranean-styled room that had a big bed, which was OK, but had pillows that just let your head sink in and despite asking for some firmer pillows, I never actually received anything and had about 1 good nights sleep.

The room service food was a complete farce. 33 Euros for a rib-eye , that was tough as hell and pretty much tasteless. Also, steer clear of the Hilton burger - it's like eating old, burnt rubber. Honestly.

Then there are the staff... Wow. Where to begin? How about I had £10 sterling stolen from my room... Stupidly I had left it lying on my desk while I went to the office. Upon returning about 3 hours later to find it missing. I alerted the front desk who sent down the hotel security manager.. He called in the maid who cleaned my room who confirmed she did see the money on the desk but assured us she didn't touch it.. Yeah right. The hotel security manager then eluded to the possibility that someone came from outside and nicked it, yet left EVERYTHING else.

You'd have thought they would have made some sort of gesture, like a free meal or something? Instead, I got nothing. They offered to call police. Sure. What a farce this hotel is.

On the whole, every staff member I came across look disconnected, unhappy and all were very impolite.

I would strongly recommend the Westin Dragonara instead. I will be advising my company and anyone else I know to move back to the Westin until the Hilton sort their staff out.

Stay clear!

I absolutly loved staying in the Hilton Malta. I stayed with my husband and two children and we had such a fabulous time the waiters were very helpful and recomended alot of lovely places to eat and see. Also there are beautiful views of the harbour in the day and night we wnt on long walks and looked at all the gorgeous boats. The rooms are astonishing they are so clean and open, they are beautiful the maids do such an exellent job.
We will defonatly be returning everyone was so friendly and welcoming how can we resist, and I'm not even going to start on the food- it's the best I've had in a long time especially the tea and cake in the evening.

Hope this helped anyone who is considering to go here, on their holidays I recommend it very much.

Evar

We have been to the Hilton eight times in the past eight years, you could expect a hotel to get a little stale after this time, but not the Malta Hilton, we still love it.
The main attraction must be the staff, nothing is too much trouble and when they say 'it's a pleasure' they really seem to mean it. The food is excellent both in quality and as we used the buffet we had whatever quantity we required. The standard of care from the housekeeping department ensures the rooms are kept in spotless condition. Although we hire a car and travel around the island, with the setting and layout of the hotel, there is no need to leave the complex unless you wish. The only thing left to say is roll on next year.

I went to the hilton Malta during the easter week end? It was busy but this did not affect our week end at all.
The hotel is huge, with a nice restaurant and a really nice staff. I did not enojy the outside swimming pool as it was too cold but the view from there was amasing and I am sure during the summer, it can be a really nice place to relax and enjoy the sun.
The inside swimming pool was really nice and I could enjoy the gym room, the sauna and the hamman! it was perfect for a relaxing week end.
Regarding the area, there is everything around: Bar, restaurant, club.... really everything from 10 mins working distance.
And finally,if you want to go to different part of lanzarote, you have lots of buses available. We wanted a car at the beginning but we actually manager every trip with the bus and it was great!
This hotel will please everyone, whatever you are looking for in Malta!

Room Tip: So many rooms, difficult to be disappointed!

We had our room upgraded from a delux marine view to a relaxation suit! Room was fantasic. Massive bed, a balcony which went all the way around including the bathroom so you could lie in the bath and look out of the balcony at the sea! Lovely. We had a bottle of champagne and bunch of red roses in our room for us. We chose to do the executive club and it was worth the money. Brekfast in the lounge, tea and cakes at 3pm, then a free bar and snacks before dinner. Added a lovely exclusive touch to our holiday. The mini bar and food prices at the hotel were really prices, so we didnt eat or drink at the hotel at all. St Julians is nice, but was a big change for us after being on quiet Gozo. This place is good if you like lively night life. We chose to enjoy the luxury of the Hilton more so didnt venture out too much. The pools are all lovely and the hotel is of a great standard. Nothing to complain about here. Had a much more corporate/commercial feel about it, not something I personally like, but once in our room it was peaceful and our balcony was not next to another one so we felt we had our own space and werent over looked etc.
Very nice hotel!
