Nice place, room was large and very quiet. Hard to travel for business and have spotty internet. Is astonishing to me that a chain like this, charging such high prices wouldn't have this nailed down.

Stayes at this hotel for new year 2010 to see in 2011 but only just got around to writing this review. First time to Malta and small island but very pleasant. Hotel rooms were excellent. Staff were excellent. Area and restaurants around the hotel was quiet due to the time of year (the weather was not hot), but were all of an excellent standard. Dd not have a bad meal during the duration of out stay.

The executive rooms are well worth the upgrade and very generous in size. In addition you get to use the exec lounge with usual canapés and alcoholic beverages. Separate large shot and bathtub in bathroom with separate toilet. Shutters separate the bathroom area from the bedroom and you can actually have a bath or shower with the shutters open and appreciate a sea view at the same time ! Tea and coffee making facilities in the room together with minibar. Worth ordering breakfast on room service. It really was amazing. I have stayed in many hotels as I used to work for an airline, but I can honestl say it was the best room service breakfast I have ever had! The Hotel spa and restaurant was great.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Malta. If I travel back to Malta at any time during summer months I would choose to stay at the same hotel. It is also just over looking the casinonwhichnis well worth a visit if you have a few pounds to lose. . . . And the food there is great also.

Room Tip: Pay for executive room, well worth the upgrade, also request a sea view.

I went this hotel with my company for a staff meeting and it was very good hotel in malta. Good location close to the casino, the bars, the restaurants and the center of thecity. The amunity of the hotel are good. Be careful at the restaurant the portions are pretty big. In 3 days i did not finish any full meal.

It was really perfect stay, I liked it so much!
Hotel is very nice, rooms are big and view from our room just amazing! Breakfast with so huge choise...We stayed during july, so high season...but using swimming pool closest to sea will help to avoid crowds. And location is also perfect. We had some requires and everything was as we asked.
Thanks, we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the Hilton Malta for three nights this past weekend, having booked two king rooms as a "Standard Points & Money Reward" for 25k points and €60 each.

We checked in very late (after 10PM) as our ferry from Sicily was delayed. We had made arrangements with the Hilton concierge to have a car meet us at the ferry terminal which was a wise decision - there were very few taxis at the port.

As HH Gold, both rooms were upgraded to the 10th floor in the new tower. Unfortunately, the beds were not true Kings, but rather two adjoining twins (with separate linens). As it was so late (and as both rooms had been upgraded) we didn't press the issue.

Breakfast in Oceania was expansive, although the service was terrible and the coffee was abysmal. The staff seems to want to seat you as close to the host desk as possible, so if you don't want to sit wedged between three families with toddlers you will have to ask. Additionally, it was impossible to flag down an attendant for drink refills.

Fortunately, the coffee machines in the Executive Lounge seem to have been repaired. There was one afternoon where the machine reported that it was "out of milk" but a quick knock on the door brought the attendant, who quickly solved the issue (and delivered my coffee).

We also received complimentary water in both rooms, as well as chits for wine. I thought this was a very nice touch, and it thrilled my in-laws (who have not traveled with us before) to no end.

Most of the outdoor amenities were closed for the winter, but the indoor pool was lovely. We also enjoyed the "Quarterdeck" bar, which had a great view over the marina.

We utilized the Hop On / Hop Off bus as it came directly to the hotel, and we had parents with us. This was actually a pretty effective way to see Malta, especially for those who don't want to do a lot of walking. You can save a tremendous amount of money by purchasing the "Malta Pass" online. Even if you only do a half-day on the bus and the temples at Hagar Qim - the bus tours are €15, and the temples €10, so the pass can be a great savings IF you purchase it at the discounted online price.

We also utilized some taxis, and can wholeheartedly endorse Paul Spagnol. He was in the queue in front of the Hilton, but I think it would be worth it to make advance arrangements and have a reserved driver for the weekend. His pricing was better than the other drivers we had, and his professionalism and education was beyond compare. I do have his card if anyone would like his contact information.

For early risers, there is a table with coffee and pastries set up by the Concierge desk. This coffee was actually substantially better than that in the restaurant, and the deserted lobby was actually a decent place to work in the morning. This would also be a convenient option if one wanted to leave early for sightseeing, although I don't understand why they have this in the lobby rather than in the Executive Lounge.

Overall, I felt like this was a great value for a Reward Redemption, and we were treated well as Golds. I would NOT have paid the posted rate for these rooms (€400), especially in the winter when many of the amenities were unavailable.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new tower are modern, but can be a hike from the elevators and lobby.

I may sound a bit biased reviewing this property again, but I need to give credit where credit is due. We stayed here for 3 nights over New Years and continue to be impressed by both the property, facilities, and most importantly, the staff! Keep it up Hilton Malta. You continue to set the example for hotels in Malta!
