Was a delay when we first arrived to check in, and was initially disappointed that the 'triple' room booked was a double with a z-bed. However, the staff reacted quickly to deal with all our initial complaints and after that we had no reason to quibble further. Housekeeping were efficient on making the room 'homely' for three and kept it that way! The breakfast buffet was extensive, well stocked and efficiently managed - no request was a problem; every dietary need catered for! The staff throughout the hotel were polite and helpful; no request was ignored. Facilities were excellent and we were spoilt for choice in terms of pool areas to frequent. The beach club became our end of the day favourite (a couple of hours by the sea to lounge and swim as the sun went down!). Food and drink in the hotel was a little pricey compared to elsewhere in the resort but not excessively so. Good parking facilities were near by; these were free to those stating in the hotel. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Room Tip: Note the hotel doesn't actually have larger rooms than doubles; triple or family rooms does mean...

For those of you who like the look and feel of the large luxury hotel; then, this is the one to choose. It is situated in St Julian’s, with one half overlooking the Portomaso marina, and the other side with sea views.
Duncurin and family were staying nearby for a few days and decided to extend our vacation by just the one night. Although this is not an inexpensive thing to do ( my wife paid! ), I have to say, that we all agreed it was money well spent. We had been orbiting the hotel for a few days before, because we had purchased passes for the Merkanti beach club, allowing us to use the sea-side facilities and pool on this level; we also purchased gym passes for our two girls allowing them – subject to bringing your own glass for water and your own padlock for the lockers! – use of the indoor pool and of course the wonderful gym equipment. We also dined for one night in the excellent Blue Elephant, Thai restaurant; and the snapchats the girls sent their friends from here certainly looked like an authentic Thai experience, and the food in no way damaged this view. Of course booking into the hotel allows access to all these and the much nicer outdoor pool level, which is one or two (!) levels up from the Merkanti.
It’s a beautifully appointed and furnished hotel with keen, bright and friendly staff who are at all times unfailingly helpful and polite. The public rooms have been well thought out and brilliantly executed with quality materials and furnishings. Each of the different bars and restaurants has a different look and feel. There is a confusing multi-level lift system, which only joins up in certain floors and this takes a bit of getting used to, but travelling in the mirror-walled lift in the new extension, to our rooms, was almost worth the cost of the room alone.
We dined by the pool the night of our hotel stay. The waitresses said that we could choose anything from the multi-course buffet, but if there was nothing we could find that we liked, then, all we had to do was to mention it to her or her colleague and she would ask the chef to make us something of our choice.
We also paid for use of the Executive lounge and we tried this for pre-dinner drinks. Certainly our two student daughters found this amazing, though it was a shame that some of the male guests, in particular, wandered in wearing tatty shorts and T-shirts.
Another executive lounge awaited us for breakfast, which was no less amazing.
Continuing the theme; our two rooms, in the new section, were beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout. Our room had a slightly oblique sea view, but with a spacious balcony that caught the morning sun, was no worse for this. The beds are comfortable and spacious and the whole thing was kept spotless by the maid service. Nice touches like the gorgeous red leather executive chair at the desk in the room and the round bath complete with exquisite curved glass window into the room and though we preferred the shower, all the fittings were of very high standard. There is also a lengthy pillow menu, for those who demand such niceties. I was surprised by the choice of compact CFC (fluorescent) lamps in both bathrooms. These took an absolute age to come to adequate brightness and during the day, when flicking the lights on and wandering into the bathroom, one would have to wait for at least 30 seconds before one could see anything. I appreciate the need to reduce electricity consumption, but LED lamps would be a much better choice throughout. Apart from this one criticism, an otherwise wonderful hotel; and Duncurin will be saving to return.

Room Tip: Our rooms had wonderful sea views, but I would argue that the view in to the Portomaso marina is als...

We have stayed in te Hilton Malta from august 2nd till august 8th. 2014. As a Hhonnorsmember we worlwide always stay in Hilton. We had a great time! The hotel is located in the resedential area and next to the marina. A superb hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurants with excellent kitchen. Though the rooms are pretty expensive in july and august, prices for food and beverages are very reasonable. One of the special benefits we have experienced was the presence of a pool only for adults. A quiet area where we found our rest.
In short: a superb hotel. One of the best Hiltonresorts ever.

We were there 22nd of June. Our Twin Deluxe room god beautiful sea view! Room was very big and clean. It looked like design from Malta. We also got access to Executive Lounge where was good food and deserts during almost all day. In the morning breakfast, after 15 small lunch with many sweeties and after 18 alcoholic drinks.
In this hotel there are 4 outside swimming pools! Outstanding! Main swimming pool is big enough and there's plenty palm trees and olive trees. There's also Jacuzzi outside. Perfect.
In the morning we were on the breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Plenty beverages, dishes. Very good & fresh made omelets.

Transport to the airport directly bu bus X2. Bus stop is about 200 meters from hotel.

Room Tip: Room 622, sea view. 6th floor. Very good view.

As a couple we were so impressed with the hilton last year that we decided to book three separate 1 week stays this year. We have just finished our last in august. The staff are excellent, and treat you like royalty. Guest relations are equally excellent and made us feel special, catering to our requests very well. The location of the hotel is in st Julian's near paceville (Kavos of Malta). Wouldn't recommend visiting paceville unless your into the clubbing nightlife. The hotel is well insulated from this, having its own road up to it. The breakfast is very good and there are lots of choice, if you book an executive room then you get access to the executive lounge, which is a lot quieter than the main breakfast area. Get a sea view for sun in the morning, marina view for sun in the afternoon. We had an executive room in the classic wing, with a sea view. Only improvement point I would make is:- at breakfast, have a little bucket for your little waste items like tea bags, empty jam puts, butter containers etc. have see this in other hotels and it means that as guests we keep out table tidy when eating and as servers, it's easy to bag up all the waste. Recommend this hotel to anyone, but be careful which months you go as august and September are especially muggy and humid. The usual difference between day and night temperature (I've been told) is only 5 or 6 degrees so be prepared, plus it's during kids holidays, maybe better mid September or June.

At check in we were given cold towels and fruit juice, very welcoming after travelling from the airport in scorching heat. Beautiful hotel. Clean, spacious room with gorgeous views of the marina with well stocked mini bar. Buffet breakfast was to die for. Infinity adult pool was the icing on the cake.
