Dear Federica S,

Thank you for sharing your feedback about the Golden Tulip Vivaldi hotel.

We appreciate your nice comments about the hotel location and its rooms.

Our most sincere apologies if you haven’t found properly attended our Newtones Spa, but it is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm and all the treatments and massages can be booked at Reception. Our two swimming pools meet all guest needs with the privacy and warm ambience of the indoor one; while the outdoor pool is the right place where to chill during the hot summer days.

Thank you for finding our hotel with an excellent price/quality ratio and we hope to host you again in the next future.

Kind Regards,
Giacomo Magi (Duty Manager)

The hotel is a couple of days old, maybe not the most fanciest and modern at the spot, but for our needs and compared to te room rate more than ok.

It is located quite good as you can easily reach restaurants & bars in close surrounding or the bus stations if you like to explore the island. On opposite side of street is a hotel for language students, so it could get a bit noisy from time to time. But if you seek for silence and isolation - don´t come to St Julian!

We had a double-bed room on 4th floor which was recently renovated. The interior was new and spacious. The room featured a flatscreen IP TV, a mini bar, safe, balcony, hair dryer, desk, small table with two chairs and numerous cabinets/closets etc. More than enough space for two persons. Bathroom was as well competetley new with tube. The room was kept clean during our stay as expected. A small tip was given each day for the maid since we have been satisfied. She could have taken more effort for the balcony since we came back with black feet everytime we went out, but this is truly minor issue and basically not worth to mention.

We received free wifi during our stay. It was included in our room rate as offered from the webpage we booked the room at. The connectivity was ok, sometimes unavailable, sometimes had to re-setup the network registration manually.

The general service at reception at welcome, during stay and check-out was very good. Any request was followed up right away. Same applies to the bar at roof top pool.
The service during breakfast is ok, maybe the staff needs to follow up a bit more consequent to pick up used dishes and to refill items at buffet. Again, only minor issue and upon request everything was solved right away.

At this point you have to underline the absolutely perfect and kind support of Giacomo who was there to help upfront and during our stay - thank you for that, outstanding service! Sorry we missed to say goodbye to you!

The selection of breakfast buffet was average - they offer selection of egg dishes, different sausages, bacon, beans, some cereals, some fruits (mainly canned, but also fresh apples/oranges), choice of bread, cold cut, cheese, jam, yoghurt and different cakes. There could have been a bit more variety since the selection was every day more or less the same. For a 4* hotel I missed definitely a selection of tea (only one undefined sort available), some fish (e.g. smoked salmon), ham, french toast, more variety of fresh fruits and metal tea spoons (small spoons only available as one way plastic spoons).
The quality of the food was ok.

The hotel has a roof top pool which is small, but okay to cool down. Around the pool are some beach beds/umbrellas and there is a small restaurant/bar as well. Everything was clean and you would always find some beach bed.

We did not visit the restaurant for lunch/dinner, also did not went to gym/spa.

Being a long time traveller for business and private and having quite some experience with both middle and upper class accomodations, I would rate the Golden Tulip Vivaldi a 3,5* hotel. If some small things improved, can become 4*. Nevertheless we were not disappointed and found everything as expected for the price we paid.
I would recommend the hotel to a friend who is travelling to Malta and looking for a fair price at good location for evening activity and base for trips around the island. I would not recommend to a friend who is searching for quiet/relaxing vacation and if he plans to stay at hotel all the time.

Dear maturesh,

Thank you for your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us.

We are glad that you found the hotel location convenient for your holiday and activities. As you have mentioned our premises is in a very popular area that tends to be quite busy during the evenings. There is also a beautiful promenade close to the hotel where many other guests like to spend some time having a walk or seating in one of the several restaurants/coffee shops located in the area. The view and the breeze coming from the sea make it the perfect alternative to the busy night life located on the opposite side.

Even though we met and sometimes exceeded your expectations we appreciated the points you brought up to our attention regarding the breakfast service and the Internet connection. Actions will be soon taken to avoid similar issues and improve our service.

Thank you for complementing our staff in general as we always try to meet guests’ requests and to anticipate them if possible.

Our outdoor pool together with the Settimo Cielo restaurant is the perfect place to relax and chill by the pool. The lovely views with some cold drinks and tasty snacks are the best solutions for the Maltese heat.

We do hope that your positive experience at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi will be soon repeated and we look forward to host you again in the near future.

Kind Regards,
Alison Galea (Guest Relations Officer)

I was expecting the pictures used for the standard rooms to be artificially enhanced, like it happens with many other hotels. But the rooms looked exactly like in their pictures. Rooms were clean, well-light and spacious.
We had some problems with the cleaning staff who always forgot or misplaced something. Also, one of the 2 main elevators was out of order for almost a week, making using the other one almost impossible due to high traffic.
Beside these small inconveniences, this is a good hotel, close to the action in St. Jualins/Paceville and with a couple of private/rock/'sandy' beaches nearby.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our baby has milk and eggs allergy and he usually got very tasty speacial dinner without milk and eggs! On behalf of my family I would like to thank the staff of Golden Tulip Vivaldi hotel for their hospitality during our stay. Excellent hotel and we definitely would stay here again.

We are glad that you were satisfied with your room and that you liked our breakfast. Thank you for complementing our pianist and her music: the piano bar is deeply appreciated by our guests.
