My family and I fell in love with this little island, we stay in st Julian's at The Westin Dragonara walking distance of a numerous restaurants and night life and easy access by taxi or bus to other areas. The hotel has everything you need if you don't want to travel out and the staff are very friendly and helpful, room was clean and big enough for a family of 4 with 2 double beds and had a lovely sea view balcony. Food was good large portions and reasonably priced. We will be back again

Gorgeous Resort. Within walking distance of numerous restaurants, night life ( if you're under 30). We vacationed with friends that had a 15 year old and a 25 year old and all found something of interest. The resort is massive and has a spot for anything you want to do. Truly appreciated adult only beach and pool area. Food and beverages on site were great but pricey. Staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating. We stayed here because we used Starwoods points otherwise this would have been too pricey for me.

Room Tip: Get a tower room. American Express Starwood.. and you can use points to book room. Avoid rooms near...

After much deliberation over a hotel to stay in we decided on the Westin Dragonara. This was based mainly on reviews & the size of the room.

This is a very good hotel. Friendly check in staff, fantastic huge rooms and the place is spotlessly clean. The room service menu was quite impressive & reasonably priced so we took advantage of this on a couple of occasions.

The gym is fabulous. It's very well equipped and large and doesn't close until 10pm on weekday evenings. Ideal for my husband & I who could team tag with the children & still get our fitness in.

The Kids Club is good & our 2 girls aged 4 & 5 insisted on going twice.

To sum up:

Things I really enjoyed:
Huge rooms
Comfortable beds
Friendly staff
Good food
High standard of cleanliness

Things I didn't enjoy:
No free wifi in rooms which for a five star hotel in this day & age should have as standard. We have this problem in parts of Cyprus too but the Westin is considered to be the best hotel on the island of Malta & attracts a lot of business customers. Come on, throw in the complimentary wifi! Get up to speed with the 21st Century.

This hotel is in a great location. The lobby is grand and the lobby bar is a great place to have a drink and relax. The suite however needs refurbishing. We were here last Dec and again last week we encountered the same problem with their shower. I can't believe that the management can put up with a leaking bath. We always end up tiptoeing to avoid the water running across the bathroom floor. This hotel has a 5 star category but it does need some toning up in all areas. We just came back from a 5-star holiday before Malta and we can compare the difference. The pool area needs more drink service where we don't have to get them ourselves from the bar. A little bit of TLC will go a long way. On a positive note, it's clean and no complaints with the food.

My husband and i went to the Westin Dragonera resort for the 3th time in 2 years.
Again we had a great holiday like the ones before .
The hotel on his own was even better because of the upgrades they have done since last year .
The staff , i dont have words enough to thank them for giving us the best, that is important on a holiday , tnx to all staff of the hotel ! Like before are room was on the side of the Dragonera Road, facing the Quadron and the Palio restaurants. We have great seavieuws there aswell and it is also great to see the weddings there are. We saw a lot of brides came below out of the entrance to celebrate there wedding in one of the venues of the hotel a cross the road.
To relax and eat and take a drink we can recomand the RMVO lounge, it's such a beautyful place , also on the terrace what have great seavieuws.
The breakfast is heavenly good, a good starter of the day , i read some negative things here about it wich i really dont understand.. We can not tell what there is or what there's not, because it seems thay have everything ! When it's bussy it's possible the coffee you ask is not warm enough anymore but dont doubt to ask for an other one, they will give it to you . The only thing i can say is that you have the plan to visit Malta dont doubt to go to this hotel, you wont regret it . One point that i agree with some is that the internet is to expensive, we hope that t will be changing in the future. And the last thing is, we are going back as soon as possible !

Room Tip: For us the rooms on The Dragonera Roard are the best . Sometimes noisy in the evening but if you w...

My husband and I stayed here in July with his work in Malta as a wedding photographer. We stayed in an executive room (827) which is well worth the extra spend. The balcony felt private and yet still with great views. First place we've stayed where executive breakfast includes the option of dining downstairs which we utilised on some of the days. Highly recommend Quadro Restaurant. Beautiful seafood and great wine list. Palio's Restaurant was fantastic for tapas/light meals and drinks. George at concierge was extremely helpful with assisting us find an all day charter. The front desk team were also always willing to help. We witnessed the general manager on the floor on more than one occasion being attentive to guest needs. In fact there was a medical emergency on one day which was very well handled by the staff. You are certainly in safe hands if you stay at this hotel. This is the first time we have seen such a large scale hotel with such a personal touch. They even noted it was my birthday and went to great lengths to make me feel very special. We came as a couple but would bring our children back. If you want a luxury scale hotel with first class service in a great location, book the Westin Dragonara
