Ten years - we really are settling in for the long haul

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 Aug 2019
We just love this hotel/resort. The staff - excellent, warm and genuinely hospitable. The facilities - pools, restaurants etc - excellent, our favourite room a tower room on the 6th floor - great views and fantastically relaxing to spend late afternoons on such a huge balcony (approx 5x5 meters) in the shade with a pleasant breeze, watching the sun go down....with a couple of pastizzi and a kinnie. We will be back in Summer 2020 - of course! - Genuinely - our home from home. Thank you for ten years....so far

This place was an amazing venue for one of the best weddings I've ever been to. The Hotel itself is superb and has everything you need inside of there. 10/10 for the wedding and everything hotel related.
However, It's lost a star as this building shown below was a bit of a let down from a drinks point of view. The barman didn't know how to make cocktails... The beer was tipped out of a can and cost €6.50. A large coke was again tipped out of a bottle was €5.95... Was flat too... I had to go from the wedding venue back (shown in the photo) back into the main hotel lobby to get a much nicer drink for the bride and groom as I couldn't from the function itself. Not good really and should be better equipped to provide better drinks which were the same price in the hotel which is 5 star. This bar is 2 star at best... Management need to look at this 👌

We had the opportunity to visit the Westin in Malta for a weekend family break, much needed and the desired outcome was higher than expected. Westin has always marked a professional back up team reflecting in a beautiful atmosphere for guests throughout the years. And I must say they have excelled and it is a complete means of relaxation at any part of one’s stay. From the welcome help with the luggages, check in, hotel room, the cleanliness, the smiles were consistent at every level of service. By the pool it was so pleasant, organised and yet fun for the children with life guards at all areas so a parent can truly have the relaxation time while children are having fun. The food is something unique the taste is different and yet it was just breakfast but it was so distinct. The staff in the restaurants including the chefs had another consistent factor a smile a readiness to welcome help and give a sense of an overall genuine atmosphere. A truly remarkable open door positive attitude across all levels. So one could feel a sense of belonging so relaxation is insured. You are a beautiful team - keep it up - individual leaders that reflect in one message to the guests - an excellent service - well done - will visit you again shortly !!

Stayed at Westin Dragonara Malta for 5 days. The hotel is neat, modern, has comfy rooms, great breakfast buffet for all tastes and good restaurants for dinner. Has pools but better yet access to the clean and warm beach with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas.
Basically want to thank George at Guest Relations desk who was there upon our arrival and helped us plan our days and dinners wonderfully!! He was very friendly, helpful, informative and suggested great restaurants for our dinners every night. Also good advice on day trips in towns. Thanks again George!

We had booked a week at the Westin Dragonara and it lived up to expectations so much that after a trip to Gozo we changed our second hotel to come back. The staff are all great but especially worth mentioning are Miguel, Shania and Hayley at the Reef Club who kept our kids entertained for days with endless pool games. They are really kind with children catering to all ages and as its a free service its so welcomed by parents. They also keep adults busy with aqua gym and aquadisco although how they jump around in 30+ is amazing!

Griselda at breakfast also looked after us very well and Trainee Beth was also very helpful.

The rooms are perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids with two queen beds and plenty of space for the clutter we had. 3 beautiful pools which were hardly ever busy with lifeguards not to mention the crystal clear sea and hundreds of loungers in various places over the whole peninsula make this a very special place to relax and unwind.

Beautiful place and wonderful stay, thank you so much Westin!

We are at the resort now, and it’s a big disappointment. We used points to book 2 rooms for our family. We are platinum elite members. Unfortunately the one room had a very musty smell- to the point of my having allergy issues. The rooms are rather dated. I had expected nicer rooms that were updated. The rooms do not match that of a category 5 hotel!! We were moved the next day to another room closet to our children and it was not as misty smelling. There is still a smell though but more bearable.

From our first room you could hear the loud music from the casino and we asked about this at the front desk and they said they were sorry and it should end shortly. It finally ended around 11pm but then started up at 1130pm again!! Not sure when it finally ended.

The staff are all very friendly and the pool and beach are nice. There is a small sandy area that small children would enjoy. We chose the free breakfast as our reward and it was plentiful!!

Would not recommend this resort due to the horrible rooms- which is a shame!!
