We had an excellent time staying at Cloisters walk from the very moment we made the initial enquiry the communication from Graham the owner was first class. So much so that it only took a couple of emails to sort things out both for the accommodation and the driver to pick us up at the airport. Getting picked up and taken back to the airport on completion of the holiday was first class driver Paul being there at the recommended times I would thoroughly advise that you take up this service.

The apartment was excellent and finished to a very high standard and has everything that you need, it was as described in the booking and the photos actually showed the place to perfection. It is in a quiet residential area so there is not much noise but again only a few minutes walk to the night life of St. Julian a steep hill to climb but this was less noticeable after a few glasses of red wine in the local band club.

An added perk is the free wifi which helped us keep in touch with family back home

As I have said I would fully recommend booking through Graham so much so that we have booked another one of his apartments in Sliema for a week in November

“Very good apartment in great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed here for a week at the end of June and had a really lovely, relaxed time. Cloisters Walk is an attractive, small development just a couple of minutes away from the shore, shops and restaurants in St Julian. The apartment is a good size for two people and fairly well equipped - although if you were intent on sophisticated cooking you may struggle for equipment. Its in a great location and the roof terrace is fantastic for sitting out enjoying a drink or two and admiring the views. The apartment itself is well laid out and spacious and generally well equipped. Only slight gripes would be that the bathroom (toilet, wash basin and shower) is quite small and the shower door was faulty, the cable TV didn't have any channels that worked (not that we needed it!) and we were surprised there was little in the way of basic cooking items apart from a bag of salt. Otherwise everything was to a very high standard. We used Paul the taxi driver for transfers to and from the airport which worked out very well and made everything extremely easy. For the rest of the holiday we used the bus service which is extremely cheap, can take you pretty much anywhere on the island but don't necessarily run to time and can be extremely crowded! My reference to "the shore" earlier should be noted that Malta has almost no sandy beaches. A couple of minutes from the apartment is a rocky area that has been levelled to an extent and has some concrete areas. It is actually much better than it sounds and the sea is absolutely lovely, but you may need something padded to lie on! All in all a great holiday.

Thank you for your very positive review and I am pleased that you had a great time in Malta and in the apartment.Your review is really appreciated. In the interim period the shower door has been repaired and I confirm that the Cable TV works so there must have been some loose wire from Cable box to TV. Thank you for your feedback. For your next visit, there is a blue flag beach in St. Georges Bay, St. Julian's but most of the sandy beaches lie in the North of Malta, namely Ghadira in Mellieha, Qawra Bay ( man made beach) Golden Bay, Paradise Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha, Gnejna, Armier, Little Armier; Pretty Bay, St. Thomas Bay in the South; Ramla l-Hamra, Marsalforn, San Blas, Qbajjar in Gozo and on Comino - to mention just a few. Many of these beaches are blue flag beaches.

“Great location, really enjoyed our stay, just a few improvements needed”

We stayed in the penthouse for 9 days and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Cloisters Walk is in a very quiet location and it is a lovely building. It is 5 minute walk to the harbour and all the restaurants. There is a slight hill to the apartments but after the 2nd night we found this walk pleasureable.
The apartment is modern and clean, it has 3 balconies and is spacious, plenty of cupboard space and great having the different balconies.
I would recommend this apartment as its location is very good and it is spacious. There are a few little things that need attending to. If these were done I would have rated this excellent rather than very good. The kitchen needs blinds on the doors and windows and the window as you come down the stairs needs a blind. This is because when you come down the stairs at night to use the toilet the family who live opposite can see straight in. If this was done then it would have received an excellent.
Also I agree with the other tripadvisor member that the drain in the shower did smell slightly and I know it may be Maltas hot weather causing this but having some disinfectant would have been good. However, the smell was not in anyway overwhelming. I would stay here again and loved that we were so close to everything but it was so quiet.
We slept brilliant, pillows could be a little better and maybe putting a protector on the pillows and the mattress would help. Saying this though the mattress was comfortable and spotless but how long will it stay like that without a protector.
I find it quite amusing that people complain about the toilet roll, this is self catering!!! and we did have a toilet roll on arrival!!
We arranged our taxi through Graham and a gentleman called Paul collected us. He was very nice and the charge is the same as most taxis from the airport, so I would recommend booking this through Graham. Then you are collected by a new air conditioned Mercedes and delivered to your door.
So overall would recommend, enjoyed our apartment, enjoyed the peace and quiet, great location, got a good nights sleep, needs a few more blinds to windows mentioned for more privacy but you will not be disappointed with Cloisters Walk Penthouse apartment.

Thank you very much for your review and recommending the apartment to future visitors. Regarding the blinds - The reason for not having blinds by the kitchen window and door leading to the terrace is because these apertures are arched. We will try and sort something out as long as it looks aesthetically good. Thank you once again.
