We have just returned from our stay at La Vallette and to be honest are very sad to have left. I'd be lying if I said we were expecting it to be good after reading the reviews. We thought we'd booked hotel hell from what we've read on here, however we really disagree and had a fab time. When we arrived we were greeted by a new member of staff on his first week. He was very helpful and though we couldn't check in as it was too early he helped us to a luggage room with hour bags and gave us access to all the all inclusive facilities as we waited. We had a few hours by the baby pool which we couldn't drag our two year old out of! Had a few drinks and went back to reception at 4 where they told us they still didn't have a room ready. As we had been waiting already and by this time our tired toddler had fallen asleep on the sofa we explained we weren't happy and needed a room and within ten minutes we had one. That is one point that does need addressing. The reception and booking system as it seemed to have a few problems. Anyway after we got our key to an apartment on the same floor as the pool in la vallette we opened the door to find a lovely clean room with two double beds a bathroom with an easy to use shower, which was attached to the wall not hand held like some say. The fan was very much working. It was just...fine!! Our room was cleaned every day apart from one during our stay. Maids were very pleasant. The drinks and food for all inclusive we're nice. Quite Samey each day but a good and tasty variety of food groups! And for the price of all inclusive at this hotel if you wanted to go out locally for food some nights which we did you've not exactly wasted your money because you couldn't eat for less self catering locally I don't Think! I'd like to mention a few staff that really were pleasant and made it such a fab week for us! So thanks firstly to Jose the new receptionist. Then Marcel and Albert the bar men plus many others who's name I can't remember. My tips would be. Stay in la vallette if possible and also just go with an open mind! We were pleasant to everyone and it was gratefully returned as these guys get a lot of rude guests speaking to them like dirt! This is an honest review from a couple in late 20s travelling with a young child. Thanks for reading!

Room Tip: Rooms near pool are quieter and cooler

Just to say just returned from Malta the hotel is OK for what you pay £95 for 4 night half board cheap as food wasn't great must admit but what do you expect. My room was cleaned twice in 4 days and fresh towels were given when asked. OK I wouldn't stay here again but for what i played I'm not going to moan ...

The hotel is not so dirty we have a very professional department and we are working hard to improve much more cleaning.

Concerning to the pool water we have all the protocols that is necessitate by the Maltese Law ... The problem of Malta is that the water contains high levels of lime and this makes it look dirty ...

Thanks Very Much
