Stayed all inclusive and so only ate in the Harruba restaurant on Level 4. Breakfast was good with a good food selection and reasonable choice buffet style dinner in the evening. Guess it was the time of year with less flow through for dinner but some hot main courses got slightly over 'cooked' on the buffet stands. The Maltese wines were affordable and good, though plenty of imported options if you must stick to what you know!

The hotel and room was very clean, and the room air conditioning very efficient: we had adjust it from 'maid's' setting to one that suited us each day. The day one bathroom light failed that was spotted and fixed without asking.

The service from the staff was good to excellent, though in the Harruba Restaurant the waiters/waitresses did not always quickly pick up that you had been sat down ready for morning or dinner drinks ordering. BUT the staff are very friendly and helpful as were those by the outside pool and on reception.

The hotel's beach section about 200 metres down the road was crowded, and I guess that would be worse in summer. Those with children might be forced to use the main beach if beach time is essential!

One thing that we forgot to put on our feedback was that it would be good to have a full hotel layout guide in the room. The hotel does have slightly complex layout to get used to until you have explored everywhere.

Overall experience was good. Happy to recommend the hotel.

We stayed two nights at this property at the beginning of November. We stayed in a terrace suite on the 13th floor with access to the Club Room. The balcony / terrace was large and a nice touch to an otherwise nice room. It had two bathrooms which was nice as well. It was definitely a solid Intercontinental with a good location. The hotel is situated next to just about anything you need (food, clothes, gifts, convenience store, etc.).

The following are the pluses and minues of this property:
+ Access to the Club Room. This was definitely worth the money. Breakfast was great, tea time again great and the evening canapes was excellent. There selection of wines and soft drinks, beer and liquors was outstanding.
+ views from our room (1302)
+ nice property in the common areas and the actual room.

- It rained heavily during one of the days, and the ceiling did leak--which was a bit surprising for such a nice property
- WIFI strength was not great in the room
- The hallway leading to the room, the carpet needed to be replaced
- Parking was an extra 10 euros a day. I am never a fan for paying for parking, just included it in the price of the room somehow--just a personal pet-peeve

Overall would stay here again and would recommend it.

We went to the hotel with 4 other couples (all family) and all had a great time, the hotel is very clean and rooms are great. The breakfast has anything you could want including fried eggs/omelettes cooked to order we didn't have any problems with cold food, as mentioned by others!. The hotel is conveniently place for nightlife and sightseeing! There is lively strip of bars very close by, but as soon as you are in the hotel you wouldn't know! One of our party didn't have a very good view, but were moved as soon as they asked to.

Nice location if your are interested on the nightlife of Malta, nice rooms especially the ones that have the back view. Descent breakfast buffet and always have a good discount when compared with similar hotels in Malta that are on the beachfront

First the bad - excellently appointed room on the 14th floor but major noise problem as situated below the executive club lounge. Problem solved efficiently by management by a move to the 12th floor. More generally extensive use of tiled floors in room can cause noise to neighbors - moving the desk char sounded like skinning a cat alive.

Now the good. Very spacious guest rooms and large, well-appointed bathrooms (with separate shower). All rooms have a balcony although not all will get sun - mine didn't. Reasonably good wardrobe space and plenty of drawers. Good w-fi throughout. Very good pools (although I only visited rather than used) and plenty of good F&B choices. The only ones I used (apart from the coffee shop for the included breakfast) were Water Buiscut (for pre-linch cocktails) followed by Paranga (situated by the hotel's private beach - down the road a little from the hotel proper) - really excellent seafood (but service a bit slow). If I had been staying longer I would have tried more outlets.

Check-in and chack-out were painless (despite an issue with the correct change on the latter). Concierge service was very helpful in informative.

This is a large hotel but the bedrooms layout (three 'wings' off the elevator lobby core) still gave it a relatively cosy feel.

Location is very good - and there are plenty of F&B alternatives withinn an easy walk.

Would I stay againg - 100% yes.
