Executive suite very nice with lovely views over Balluta Bay. Rooms must be sound proofed as very little noise from other people.

The sitting room lacked a bit of character, but lovely bedroom and bathrooms and balconies.

The executive lounge for restricted use by certain customers only lacked atmosphere, however, lovely drinks and canapes every evening.

The main negative was that the free wifi was not available on the executive floor, nor in the suite, so had to go to the communal lounge to use wifi and this was often full of kids playing games on their devices and running around. Told wifi was coming soon to the executive floor....needs to hurry up

Room Tip: The rooms without a view of the bay may be overlooking building works or other buildings that are ve...

I stayed here in October 2010. I went with a girlfriend for a week of relaxation and we were not disappointed.

We managed to find a fret deal online and felt we really did get value for money. I would not however suggest the hotel was worth the full asking price on their website.

The hotel is a short taxi ride from the airport and is positioned right in the centre of st julians bay. The hotel was clean and spacious with lots of communal spots to wind away the hours. The hotel has several restaurants and bars which are also worth a visit if you're having a lazy day as there is far better value available in the local area.

Our room was more than spacious having just booked a standard twin room. Lots of storage and very clean. The cleaners were also very thorough.

Le meridien also has a roof top pool offering beautiful views across the bay and a lovely cool breeze to ease the balmy Malta days. The pool is a moderate size and had a somewhat limited supply of sun loungers considering the size of the pool. For a party of two this was less of a problem but family's may struggle with this.

Fortunately the hotel also had a fantastic spa offering many relaxing treatments and daily offers/discounts to tempt you in. The spa was definitely worth a visit. We had joint massages, facials and aromatherapy treatments and spent a lot of time in the spa's indoor pool when the clouds set in outside.

The breakfasts were beautiful and breakfasting times were very flexible. The hotel was a short walk away from local restaurants but definitely in a quieter part of the bay.

The staff were very helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to the older traveller or family or anyone wishing a very peaceful stay. I would definitely visit again.

The rooms are very large with blonde wood trim and furniture. They have a nice size indoor pool by spa area and a rooftop deck with panoramic view. Our room on the eighth floor had a jacuzzi tub and two decks with table and chairs. Fast checkin, deserves the le Meridien name. In the ground level (zero) you can get tours and cars, we found the prices good. Good little jewelry shop too.
The area has some truly great restaurants - Paul's Seabreeze had fish you could choose from a cold cabinet and good view. The bars and restaurants better value than Paceville.
Take bus directly out front to Paceville, about 7 min, 222 that comes there goes to ferries and boats for Gozo and Comino - at 2.6 euros return a great bargain.

This hotel achieves a high overall standard and offers good value for money with clean, well serviced, spacious rooms , we had a junior suite with sea view!! worth spending the money. It is also well placed both for the main urban areas of Sliema and Valletta +local restaurants-

The rooms are well appointed, with good bathrooms, separate toilets, a generous balcony and excellent views over the bay from the upper floors. We found this was an amazingly quiet hotel. Perhaps due to the layout of our room, not once did we suffer noise The staff who we came in contact with were very good and went the extra mile for your comfort. The transport links to Valletta were just outside the hotel and very cheap (Dont take your hire car,you will have fun parking) Parking at the hotel did not seem to be a problem, but may well change in the high season. You can book island tours from the hotel with a local company who will collect you if needed. Good for runners as my wife will say, you can run to Valletta on a large pavement overlooking the sea. I have used many hotels and this was one of the better ones.PS They are building flats next to the hotel, but were no problem.

Room Tip: High floors as they are building flats outside the hotel.

What can I say what an amazing experience it was staying at this hotel. Very efficient clean and friendly. All the staff here could not do enough for us. Best hotel we've ever stayed in. The concierges Mario, mark and Joseph were so helpful with everything we asked for nothing was any trouble for them. The chefs Adolph and Anthony were amazing we stayed here for 3 weeks so we got to no them all quite well. They knew exactly what we wanted for breakfast and would have it cooking before we even asked for it!! We've had an amazing experience and wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.
