“Nice view on the marina!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

When escaping from the crowds of St Julians the marina is the perfect place to be. There are several restaurants overlooking the marina but the Marina Terrace offered a perfect mix of relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced pizza, sandwiches and burgers, all of high quality. And the view of yachts arriving every 10 minutes is the perfect view.

“Amazing Pizza”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

We arrived here without a reservation and got a lovely outside table. We both fancied pizza and we were definitely not disappointed! They were huge and really tasty. I had tuna and onion and my partner had the pepperoni picante. Both were fab! The wine was good too and the service was quick and friendly. And the bill was under €50!! We will definitely visit again!

“NICE TIME BUT WITH DOWNSIDES ....”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

I booked our table very easily and swiftly by filling in the restaurant's reservation form through their website ... which was promptly confirmed. Our table was on the terrace which undoubtedly has one of the loveliest views in Malta ... that of the Portomaso Marina. Staff are efficient and quite friendly. Our order was taken shortly and the wine and water followed very soon and the food in very good time too. The pizzas were excellent ... very tasty and large ... plus the dough is to die for (those who are real pizza lovers know what I mean). It was very relaxing and enjoyable ... but then decided to order the coffees and digesifs. After a while we asked for the bill. It's not for money's sake, but there were two items which I believe are total rip-offs ... a bottle of still water (Highland Spring) is just short of 5 euros and the digestif (Fernet Branca) just short of 4 euros. When considering that a decent bottle of wine is reasonably priced at 18 euros and the coffee also acceptable at just over 2 euros, the water and digestifs seemed very expensive. These are two small downsides to an otherwise nice experience ... but it's these things which make me think twice about going back to this restaurant, or recommending it to someone.
