“Absolutely Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2011

We spent a week in Malta and if it wasn't for the gorgeous Hotel Juliani we probally wouldn't have left with such fond memories. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms, although not cheap were very good value for money considering the location and quality of the finishes. It certainly rivals any other boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. I also highly recommend the hotels main restaurant for lovely Japanese fusion. The road noise outside was quite high, but thankfully we had a room close to to the top so it didnt matter, but be careful if you are sensitive to noise.

Absolutely wonderful hotel!

Stayed here for 2 weeks last September. Fabien was prompt in dealing with our requests. Booked a junior suite with a fab view of Spinola Bay, perfect for having a relaxing drink watching the world go by. The room was spotless, clean towels every day, added touch of toiletries in the bathroom. Room service superb...and if you like your early cup of tea just ask for tea making facilities, a tray with kettle and cups is supplied instantly.
The staff were polite, courteous and ready to please. Jason is very helpful at breakfast. We didn't use the Zest restaurant, but breakfast was excellent, varied choice of all hot and cold food.
Perfect location for buses to all over the island. An experience in itself. This was our 5th trip to Malta, first time in this hotel. We won't be looking for another one! We will be back in August for our honeymoon...can't wait!

Room Tip: Upgrade to suite for best sea views

Recently I stayed at the Hotel Juliani over the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday Weekend.

Initial communication with Fabien (Operations Manager) was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. I dealt with the hotel directly and booked a Junior Suite after reading many of the previous reviews on Trip Advisor.

We arrived on the early flight to Malta arriving at 11am. I had mentioned this to Fabien prior to our departure date and had requested if it was possible to have the suite ready as soon as possible. Despite check in time not being until 3pm, we were very grateful that we only needed to wait 20mins or so in the lounge. We were actually greeted by him upon arrival; nice touch and excellent service.

Suite – was very good with gorgeous views. We had two tvs and there are a couple of English Speaking channels. Room and bathroom were clean. Only slight negative was that the shower would on occasions go very hot for a second or two (we assumed it must have been other hotel guests were using showers etc). Also, for a suite, it was slightly smaller compared to other suites we’ve stayed in. However, the balcony and view more than makes up for this.

The hotel also has a nice rooftop with a mini pool with beautiful views across the bay.

The staff were very friendly and their service is what made this a 4 star to a 5 star stay (the hotel is a 4 star hotel). Waiter staff were very friendly in the morning for breakfast (good selection of hot and cold food) and reception in the evening was also informative.

Overall, if you’re staying in Malta and St Juliani’s and you’re not looking for the Hilton/Meridian big corporate style stay, then I would thoroughly recommend Hotel Juliani.

PS: In terms of restaurants, we would recommend Chapter One, Avenue (more for food as opposed to environment – very good value) and Barracuda.
PPS: Free wifi was also very good

Stayed for a week at Hotel Juliani and had a Junior Suite overlooking Spinola Bay. Such a pleasure to open the curtains in the morning and look out on that view. Could not fault the hotel. Very attractive, spacious and stylish room with most tasteful decor. The same is true of the area downstairs used for breakfasts , teas or just relaxing ; in fact there is a lovely ambience about the whole hotel. Most helpful and friendly staff make your stay a real pleasure. Excellent breakfast , part self service and part table service was something I really looked forward to each day. I endorse what other reviewers have written and as our taxi driver said as he drove us back to the airport , every time he collects passengers from Hotel Juliani at the end of their stay, the comments are always 100% complimentary.

Room Tip: Choose a suite with a bay view.

Chose this hotel after reading reviews - they were spot on! Excellent location, great rooms, nice breakfast, attentive staff...basically, all you need when you're travelling on family holiday. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Juliani for a lovely Easter break! We booked the Ambassador Suite and a Deluxe room for our 10 & 12 year old children. Rooms are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Location can't be beat! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta.

Room Tip: the suites have excellent view of harbour!

Just spent a wonderful week here, booked after reading previous reviews. Staff are welcoming and friendly, particularly Spencer. Rooms are spotless, food excellent. Some very good restaurants close by - all in all an excellent hotel in a wonderful location.

I have stayed in many 5 star hotels at home and abroad and I have to say this hotel is one of my favourites. We stayed there for 6 nights in April , you couldn't ask for a better location, the breakfast was really great and well run, all the food is of a high quality. All the staff are great, very helpful. I would advise paying a little extra to get one of the suites as the rooms are nice and spacoius and the views are perfect. We really enjoyed our trip to Malta and will be going back again next April.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for suites, its well worth it.
