Hotel Juliani is fantastic!!

The check in process was quick and painless!! The room is nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of electrical outlets. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The location is central to places of activities and restaurants. Many kudos to this establishment. I would highly recommend it to others.

We spent 10 days in Hotel Juliani for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Malta had been recommended to us by lots of friends so we decided it would be a good place to honeymoon and we weren't disappointed.

I'd recommend getting one of the junior suites with a view of the mesmerising Spinoloa Bay if you decide to stay the Juliani. The view is magnificent and although the road is busy with traffic and people, the glass patio door is soundproofed so we weren't particularly disturbed - well apart from at 8am on one day when a load of buses (which were on strike for four days) drove around St Julians blasting their horns!

As for the hotel then then its as nice as it looks on the website while the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We got a welcome drink, pieces of cake left in our room every day and a goodbye present. The mini-bar was hot rather than cold but when that's the biggest negative you know you're at a good place. If you like to swim a lot when on holiday then the fairly small rooftop pool might be an issue but it was fine for lazing around in.

We didn't dine in the hotel as the area is full of different restaurants so we decided to eat out every night. We didn't have a bad meal at all and that includes when we went to McDonalds next door! In particular we'd recommend the pizza in Ir-Rokna, the chicken breast at The Avenue and, if you like chocolate cake and ice-cream, there's a dessert at Paparrazzi called 'outrageous' that's the best I've ever tasted.

With the buses (and white taxis) on strike for 4 days we only ended up doing a couple of trips - Valetta and Gozo. We got the buses to both (well the ferry terminal to Gozo) and although the buses are busy they are very cheap. Travelling on them is certainly a different experience!

We saw Gozo by taxi. It cost us 40euros for a tour which lasted for about 90 minutes and we stopped at four locations to get out and have a look around. If you're only going for the day to Gozo and want to see as much of the island as possible its a great way of doing it.

All in all I'd recommend Malta to anyone. Great weather, great food, friendly people and a good atmosphere. We paid 180euros a night (about £142) to stay in the Juliani and while that isn't cheap you're paying for quality and a stunning view. If you're going to Malta for your honeymoon then look no further.

This is an upscale boutique hotel that offers the facilities of a palace while giving personalized service beyond your expectations. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable, but the highlight of our stay was our wedding anniversary at Zest, the fusion restaurant (he hotel has 3 or 4 outlets if I remember, including a maltese restaurant!). The chef had prepared a special selection of asian starters that was just mind blowing!
We highly recommend this hotel, the staff is really nice and helpful and we will surely come back soon.

great location , nice but very compact room with side sea view.
very clean and tidy throughout.
watch out for the music school practice sessions next door there are only so many times one wants to hear the rocky theme tune!
my only gripe is i felt it was expensive for what we got basically a very small room and no breakfast included so value for money not sure???

We have now stayed at Hotel Juliani twice, and it gets better and better. The staff and the facilities are perfectly matched to a relaxed, yet elegantly luxurious visit. I couldn't recommend it highly enough - make sure you stay in a room with a sea view, as Spinola Bay is spell-binding at any hour of the day.
We were in Malta for a family event, and so had booked a large number of rooms at the Juliani for 4-5 days. The general manager and all his staff couldn't not have been more accommodating to the varied needs of all the group, whether they were parents with very young children, or those who liked to go out late, and come home even later.
And it does have some of the best coffee on the island!.

If you’re going to Malta and looking for a place to stay that is a beautiful hotel, great location with gorgeous views, excellent service, rooftop pool, large hearty breakfasts with freshly squeezed OJ, and all at a value, then Hotel Juliani is the place for you!

The hotel has been recently refurbished and updated so it’s like a brand new boutique hotel.
Excellent location, right next to restaurants, cafes and bars, with a bus stop right across the street to meet all your site seeing needs.
Large bed with great mattress and pillows
We had 2 TV’s in our large suite, each with DVD
Nice size bathroom with excellent water pressure & Jacuzzi tub
Very clean with great service

Georgios and his team did a great job of making us feel at home in his hotel.

We had originally planned to stay in Malta for only 3 nights & then go to Gozo, but after getting to Gozo we missed Hotel Juliani and returned after 1 night so we spent 6 nights at Hotel Juliani.

I would highly recommend it and if I were to return to Malta I would definitely stay at Hotel Juliani.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hotel Juliani, a 4 star hotel, is Malta's small design boutique hotel enviably located in the heart of Spinola Bay, St Julian's. In fact, you're never more than 25 minutes away from most parts of the island, including the beautiful baroque capital of Valletta. Originally a traditional seafront townhouse, the Juliani has been meticulously converted to provide 47 rooms, an intimate setting and very personalised service to its guests. Today it remains a family-run establishment committed to ensuring you feel at home and well looked after. Each hotel room offers excellent facilities, fresh Mediterranean decor and plenty of space. Many also boast unobstructed sea views, and you will be able to watch the colourful fishing boats bobbing on the water from the comfort of your balcony or the rooftop swimming pool. Meanwhile, as a cosmopolitan commercial and entertainment district, St Julian's surrounds you with many of the best restaurants, bars, conference centres, casinos, health spas and shops that Malta has to offer. ... more   less
