We stayed at this boutique hotel for five nights - it came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. We booked two sea-view junior suites - our two teenage children stayed in 502 and my husband and I in 703. Both suites afforded fantasic views over Spinola Bay and beyond, were extremely comfortable (great beds and feather pillows!) and spotlessly clean! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A substantial breakfast is served downstairs in Cafe Juliani - offering hot and cold fare and the cappuccinos are brilliant! The hotel is very well appointed - there is a bus stop just across the road, fabulous walks along the promenade and it is literally minutes away from the fantastic restaurants that St. Julian's has to offer, the There is also a Scott's supermarket within walking distance. Free wi-fi and computer access were greatly appreciated by our daughter who could keep in touch with all her friends via fb! We loved our stay in Malta and the Hotel Juliani had a lot to do with that! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel - we will definitely be back!

Just returned from 10 day at Hotel Juliani in St Julian's, Malta. It was great. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff (at all levels). Superb breakfasts. Fantastic location. Accommodation excellent. Would happily stay there again - much better than large hotels with more corporate and anonymous feel. My first visit to Malta and Hotel Juliani made it a very successful one.

Travelling to Malta for the first time, my girlfriend and I knew we'd picked the right hotel for our stay. After a free airport transfer we we're welcomed into a stylish and individual hotel, ran by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean, well maintained and very spacious. We opted to pay a little more to stay in a 'Junior suite' that had a terrace overlooking Spinola bay, well worth the extra money and great if you like people watching! The hotel benefits from a very nice rooftop pool which wasn't too busy most the time.
We would completely recommend this great boutique hotel.

Myself and my wife were due to stay here for 3 nights to attend a wedding.

At the last minute we had to cancel because of a sick family member. I contacted the hotel (Fabien) and they kindly extended the notification for cancellation to the day before the stay so it didn't cost us anything to cancel.

From the start, Fabien responded very quickly to my enquiries so when we do get to go to Malta, we will absolutely stay in this hotel.

Hotel Juliani is a smart small hotel facing onto the busy harbour area of Spinola Bay, St Julian's. There are lots of eateries in the vicinity including the hotel's 'Zest' restaurant a fusion of Eastern and Western cooking. Many of them are built out over the bay.The hotel also has a ground floor area with lounge, light lunch and bar area and sitting areas with bookshelves and TV.
Breakfast service was good and included a comprehensive buffet and eggs done to order.
There is a pool and sundeck on the roof.,(but no beach in the area). Frequent buses stop opposite and there is easy access to all parts of the island.
The location is very good for couples but might not be so suitable for those with small children becuse the hotel has self-opening doors onto a busy road.
The staff were helpful, smiling and pleasant at all times.
If you like festivals, bands, singsongs and fantastic fireworks try the week of St Julian's Feast (about the last week in August.)
We had a Junior Suite which had a large double bed, a sofa, 2 armchairs and table in the sitting area, TV, fridge and a small balcony overlooking the bay with table and chairs. The air conditioning was good.
The bathroom was modern and had a bathtub with a shower over it. It also acted as a Jacuzzi. However at some stage someone had decided to fix the showerscreen in place which made it a trifle akward to get at the bath plug and taps-however this is a nit-picking minor grumble.
Our bed and breakfast deal with the hotel included an Island tour on the double decker bus and one meal in the restaurant.
It is about 15-20 minutes to Valetta by bus ( only 47 cents) and only 10 to the shopping areas of Sliema.
We loved it and would certainly go back.

Great for living, but eat elsewhere to keep budget.

The pool at the roof was great, not huge but perfect for cooling off with a great view. Hotel reception was really helpful, only thing with service was bar at the roof that was sometimes unmanned. €10 coupon for Zest and local welcome drink on arrival. Free dvd rental (never used).
Really great location, walking distance to silema and paceville, busses to Valetta. (Bar beside hotel has drinks for 1/10th of hotel price and supermarket in next block (other direction) resulted in breakfasts 1/10th as well (otherwise €13!).

We stayed for 10 days in this wonderful hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Always a friendly smile and good advise on trips and practicllities form the reception desk. The room was clean and spacious even though an extra bed for our 13 year old daughter was added. The normal bed was extra wide, wide enough for 3 to sit on. The view from the window into he bay was beautiful. The noises of the very busy street in front of the hotel was stopped by the double glass windows and did not at all hinder us in the room. Directly in front of the hotel was the busstop, with many busses in either direction and the special hop-on/hop-off sightseeing bus. A good startingpoint for all trips. Return in the hotel after a warm trip, there was the (small) swimmingpool on the roof to cool down, esspecially our daughter loved this. Finally we enjoyed the many different restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel Zest was among the best. To anyone who is going to Malt we can recommend this intimate hotel!
