Being a regular visitor to Malta and St Julians, I tried this place a few times to give it a fair chance. Quite dingy & dark inside but there is a small seating area outside. However, some tables & chairs are actually put in the street by the parked cars, so not sure of the legality of that and it felt quite cheap in doing so. The drinks can be had for less in nearby bars and there is no view of the bay from this place, just a back street. Avoid the food, it is dire and expensive for what it is. Cheap pies and hot dogs for a not so cheap price. A good range of cocktails but expensive for what you get served in cheap glasses.

We were also hassled on more than one occasion after midnight when we sat inside or outside with the excuse that they were going to close. We weren't happy with that at all as we had been there over two hours as it was and wanted to have further drinks. A place like this needs to stay open if customers are still drinking. It can stay open until around 3am (as we witnessed on several occasions walking by) but this time since we were hassled to leave once too often we never went back. Always check what you are being charged here as we had varying amounts demanded for the same set of drinks on more than one occasion.

Conclusion is that there are much better places to go in this area that have a better view, better ambiance and better prices. Ok for a single drink but then move on as there is such a better choice in the area.

Next to somewhat nosier (and maybe more popular) Dick's Pub, there is Crow's Nest. This zyear it was hosted by two ladies. One looked like Tracey Thorn, lead singer of Everything but the Girl, the other being classic blonde girl from eighities- pop videos.

On several Tv screens one can watch either soccer or - as it happened when I was there - classic pop and rock from VH! 1 channel.

They offer Paulaner (in botles) and other continental kinds of beer, plus Guiness and lokal Cisk.
Interesting list of cocktails, although you have to ask for some classics.

Menu is typical for pubs - the British will enjoy: thre kinds of pie (kidney, vegs and beef & onion), as well as sandwiches.

It's nice to sit outdoors on nice weather.

I spent there my last nigth in Malta this year over, khm, four nice and cold Paulaners.
The customers are slightly older than for example in Dick's bar and the rest of cafees. Besides locals there are mainly British and Scandinavian tourists that frequent Crow's nest.
