What a lovely caravan/holiday park. Visited Byron Bay in October and was trying to find a caravan park with a bit of character, well Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park is GREAT. Nicely situated only five minutes from Byron Bay center and right on the beach (no views) towards the southern end of the beach, with less than half a minute stroll to one of the nicest beaches in the area.
This place is only small compared to a lot of caravan parks that I have visited. All staff were very friendly and extremely pleasant and helpful. I originally was going to stay one night, on arrival the park was so nice that I decided to stay 2 nights and then in the afternoon I decided to stay 3 nights. Went to reception to extend, and very happily they extended for the third night, then was pleasantly surprised when they advised me that as I was staying three nights, the third night would be free. :)
The amenity block was very clean during my stay and the park was nice and tidy throughout. This area was very quiet and peaceful and at least half of the sites had some shade cover from the tree canopy.
There is a small supermarket/liquor store at the end of the street which is very convenient. Then there were so many restaurants and cafes only five minutes away in Byron Bay Center.
I did a lot of walking tracks during my stay, with my favorite being the Byron Point Lighthouse track, well worth the visit.
