“Great for girls weekend”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Byron at Byron is lovely resort.
Great place to go for a girls weekend where you can hang with your girls by the pool, sipping cocktails and lazing in a gazebo or on the grass. Early morning Yoga sessions are nice and relaxing especially when topped of by a 20 minute walk around the pretty estuary the hotel is situated on.
Hotel rooms are nice and clean and feel very eco friendly with the sounds of birds and things right out of the window.
You can bring your own food as the rooms have a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. The Spa is a bit expensive but the few treatments I had here were very relaxing.
We borrowed bicycles and rode into town which is a nice flat ride with off street pathways if you’re a bit nervous to ride on the road.
Nice getaway from the city.

My only regret with going to the Byron at Byron is that real life can never live up to it! The setting, the staff, the accommodation, the food, all exceptional! Only got back last night but already looking forward to booking my next trip. Many thanks to all that made our stay so perfect!

This was our 3rd time at the resort. If you are interested in staying in the utmost luxury as well as appreciate the natural environment around you, that is the place to come to. You are staying in a one bedroom unit rather than in “a room”, surrounded by beautifull natural vegetation, typical of the geography and local weather, including great walks through these magnificent tall trees and tributary. The closeness to the beach is amazing (10mins walk through the back gate), and Tallow beach’s beauty is breath taking.
The food is excellent, service immediate and attentive and the friendliness of the place is obvious. The hotel manager is immensely friendly and constantly seen talking to hotel guests. The pool is great and there is plenty of space to shelter you from the sum when required.
The distance to the City centre is approximately 2 km. One can use a car or alternatively walk to the Centre (nice walk subject to favourite). The city of Byron Bay caters for a large variety of small cafes as well as good restaurants, and also has its own beach. Interested places in the vicinity of Byron Bay includes: Tweed River Valley Art Gallery (where one can find some of the finest painting by Margaret Oley), Bangalow (small town with beautiful little shops and cafes), Crystal Palace (Buddhist Centre) and the famous Harvest restaurant in Newrybar.
In summary: a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: In the summer, ask for rooms closer to Tallow Beach. In the winter, for rooms close to the main buil...

Just had 3 days at Byron at Byron and highly recommend it for those seeking a peaceful getaway. Only a few minutes out of the town centre, this place is almost like a sanctuary & my wife says the best spa & facial she has had in a long time. Nice golf course across the road for thos wanting a game or two and the resort offers free shuttle for those in need. Suggest you leave the kids at home and keep this one for the "grown-ups". On site restaurant is good, however take the time to see what the town has to offer as selection is very diverse.

Room Tip: Include breakfast in your package but eat out at night

Everything about The Byron is fantastic - the setting, the room, the food, the staff. We didn't get to stay long enough to really soak it all in, so would love to return some day. The buildings are set in the rain forest and the walks to and from the main building are a treat all by themselves. It's a short walk to the beach (not a swimming beach, though) where we could have stayed gazing out into the Pacific all day. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious.

The Byron at Byron is absolutely wonderful. I have stayed at some very lovely places but this is the best.
I went with a group of girlfriends. We had 3 rooms which the staff made sure were next to each other for us. We stayed in the Everglades room. The rooms were of a very high standard with a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The bathtub was a great size. The toiletries were great.
The resort is spread out across a large area which included a lake and rainforest board walks. There is a path that leads to a beautiful beach.
There is large swimming pool, complimentary yoga each morning, bikes for hire and a shuttle into Byron Bay a few times a day.
We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast. The buffet supplied everything you needed for breakfast.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Probably wouldn't stay here with kids but for couples or adult friends it is a great place to stay.

Everything about this beautiful resort is sensational. We have just retuned after spending the long weekend there staying in the spa suites (Rivergum); and found the entire experience delightful. We particularly enjoyed the spa bath. Besides the lovely accommodation, it is the natural environment and resort staff that deliver a relaxing atmosphere. All of the resort staff are brilliant. They are always on hand to provide a genuine friendly and helpful service. It was lovely to see the restaurant manager helping out where ever he was needed; thus everything was very efficient.

We visited for the long weekend to celebrate my friend's special birthday. The chef and restaurant staff were very helpful in allowing us to bring along a cake, and brought it out to us, complete with sparklers! The chef plated it up beautifully for us on two different occasions. They really made my friend feel very special.

The resort offers plenty of umbrellas to use; a lovely pool area with lots of cushioned lounge seats, a large sauna, comfy outdoor lounge chairs complete with blankets, lots of outdoor heaters (just to take the edge off those cool June nights and early mornings), lovely bathroom products and a brilliant restaurant. The lovely beach is a short walk through the back of the property and worth the visit.

The Byron at Byron is definitely a beautiful and relaxing environment that provides top notch friendly and professional service. They are a great team.

I would definitely love to return.

Room Tip: If you want super quietness, book the spa rooms that are a 5 min walk away from reception towards th...
