You can blink and miss the hotel sign, but once there, if you like bright colour schemes with strange room layouts, you might like this.
The quirky rooms are very modern, and although it had a coffee machine, there was only one drink sachet.
There is free wi-fi but the poor signal kept disappearing.
There was no work desk, and a high wash hand basin in the bathroom was uncomfortable to use. The plumbing must be micro-bore as it doesn't flush the wc properly and made loud motorised noises.
Breakfast in such hotels is usually limited in choice and this is no exception, although it was perfectly adequate (no grapefruit segments).
The owners are very friendly and it's a mile from Ascot High St.

I really enjoyed visiting Palm Hills, and it's a great place to stay in Ascot. I was very impressed at the attention to detail in each room, and felt completely relaxed from the moment I arrived. I loved the different themed rooms too. It's a gem tucked away in leafy Berkshire.

We stayed here just for one night as we were trying our hand at Polo on the Sunday. And it was conveniently located nearby. Down the driveway you find this large home converted into a boutique B&B. Although our room was small and also the bathroom small, we had a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, tv, large bed. They have a restaurant and bar if you need to spread out. The outside doesn't prepare you for the interior modern decor. We enjoyed our weekend getaway here at Palm Hills.

I loved this little hotel.
Really wonderful - the chaps could not have been more helpful and put you at your ease straight away - nothing was too much trouble
The rooms are brand new (as is the hotel), finished to an excellent standard - modern but quirky and with plenty of character and nice touches such as the candles and tassimo coffee makers in each room.
I will definitely stay again when I'm in Bracknell, but I fear it will be so popular it will be difficult to get in!!

  • Liked — the finishing touches
  • Disliked — could have done with a brighter light in the bathroom for doing my make-up, but this was a really small thing

This is a brand new, family-run boutique hotel close to Ascot Racecourse. I have spend two nights over the Royal Ascot period and enjoyed the stay very much.

Old family estate is now converted into 9 room hotel, Restaurant/Bar and a small conference facility.
Each room is styled/decorated differently, all in a modern stylish way, which would tempt guests to come back just to stay in another room!

Two brothers who manage the hotel are very attentive, pleasant and helpful, from whom the guest can obtain plenty information on local attractions.

As they opened only a few weeks ago, there still rooms for improvements e.g. Restaurant 's food quality (menu is good), few more pieces of furture still being added to each room. Yet, I believe that the passionate brothers will keep making improvements and they will win a number of fans like myself.

Apart from the stay over Royal Ascot season, the hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway from London (50mins drive from South West, even shorter from Heathrow).
