I didn't book this hotel as it was the business that did, but I was very surprised when I pulled up to see what looked like a giant ski lodge on the outskirts of Bracknell.
The building is striking & the layout inside quite different to most hotels. I stayed here for a week and found it good although I was doing an intensive course that required considerable study in the evening so I didn't get to use much of the hotel's facilities.
There is a couple of restaurants, one of which is the in the basement & is a bit dark with no phone reception, having said that the food was ok. For the rest of the week I had room service which was fine apart from one night where there seemed to be confusion around what had been paid for by the business up front. The food was ok & the menu varied.
Breakfast was standard buffet food but there was a reasonably good selection of fresh fruit & yoghurt as well as the usual cooked food such as bacon & sausage.
Finally the free Wi-Fi was welcome, the only shame was that the hotel was on the outskirts of Bracknell which mean's you have to drive to the centre if you want a change of scenery

Have stayed here many times in the past but this hotel has become decidedly tired and in need of a little tlc. The breakfast is plentiful but unimaginative. The room service was bad with items missing from 3 of 4 orders and overcooked items - just poor quality. The pool was dirty with lollipop sticks and other debris at poolside and some very off-putting tiling around pool.
I stayed here with my children in a family room and have to say the room we were given was excellent. Cannot fault this. Check in staff were helpful and reception area was large and welcoming. Ok for an overnight family stay but if you are wanting to celebrate a special event may be a little disappointing.

I recently stayed at the Coppid beach as part of a large group for my 60th uncles 60th birthday.

I have stayed here many times over the last 5 years and although yes the hotel is a little dated it still spotlessly clean.

After checking into my room I received a call from my husband advising that due to last minutes changes he and my son were able to join us, the reception staff were super-efficient and arranged a new room for us, they also arranged for my luggage to be moved. We were moved to a family suite, the room was huge with a dining area, separate room for my son, Jacuzzi bath and walk in shower.

What really stands out with this hotel is the exceptional service offered from all members of staff.

It is also a great place to go to as part of a group due to the location of the basement nightclub.

Room Tip: If you are travellign as part of family price up the family suite it is well worth it.

2nd time at this hotel and obviously due to the current financial climate, various noticeable cutbacks have been made.
The rooms are still more than adequate and the staff more than helpful.
However we had a party of eight and were bitterly disappointed with the menu, the entertainment and the whole ambience of the evening.
When the group started their set, the majority of people went elsewhere to entertain themselves only to return about 11.45pm for the new year celebrations, and after the group had finished at 11.
I have to say, breakfast was up to its normal excellent standard with fresh, hot food arriving at the buffet all the time.
Unfortunately we will be looking elsewhere for next years celebrations.

The check in a Nightmare, not fault of Staff, Customers asking stupid questions.

Room locks are a bit painful to get in. Then once in step back in time to the 50'S. They need to get some new beds or fill the old ones with more straw! No traffic noise, but next door rooms you can hear the toilet being used.

Evening meal was better than I was expecting for a large group. The Bar down stairs is OK.

However bed & breakfast rate high

I have not stayed here but I have had various meetings in the lobby with lunches and coffees etc. The location is great and the staff are well geared up to deal with the large number of business meetings taking place around the lobby. The service is first class and it is worth having a coffee for the shortbread alone, very scrummy.

The room was pleasant but unexciting; room service dinner was ordinary (and the sausages seemed like breakfast leftovers); the spa was under par (closed at 6pm and the sauna was turned off well before that); the bed was a bit small and soggy. On the plus side, the location was convenient, the breakfast was good and the people were pleasant.
