The room was clean and comfortable although the shower head was prone to falling off its perch.
The food was standard pub grub and the breakfast was huge. I would have preferred a breakfast menu with a choice of items.
The staff were most impressive, pleasant and helpful.
A young man carried our case upstairs without asking. This is refreshing and sadly becoming rather unusual nowadays.

The staff at the Westlands are evidently trained to a high standard as they could not be more helpful. They were pleasant and friendly and gave us lots of ideas for things to do. The owner and her daughter spent time chatting away to us and made us feel very welcome. In the evening and to our surprise there was a jazz band playing for the entertainment of residents and locals, this gave us a chance to mingle with the regular customers, all of which added to our holiday. We ate in the hotel on a number of occassions and each time we were delighted with our meals. The price is very reasonable with an extensive choice. The presentation of the food was excellent as were the staff especially the young man behind the bar, Mike.

The bedroom we stayed in was front facing and overlooked the large garden where you could eat and relax. The bathroom was modern and clean and to a high standard. In the mornings we were served breakfast in the dining room and were given a large choice of cereals, fruits and full cooked scottish breakfast.

Dunblane itself is a beautiful town and ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area and further afield to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Overall the highlight of our experience was finding such a friendly and welcoming place to stay. We would most definately recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We stayed in this hotel while attending a wedding at the Dunblane Hydro. This is a small, family run hotel (5 rooms). The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. We had an evening meal on our first night and the food was delicious, reasonably priced and beautifully presented. The room we stayed in was large, bright and airy with a large bathroom. Although the furnishings were a bit old fashioned, the room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was no dried up buffet food, but everything was cooked fresh and served at the table. For those wishing to enjoy the area, the staff were full of tips on where to go and things to do in the area. All in all we had a brilliant experience at this hotel and would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

We stayed at this hotel at the last minute and quite by chance. We were attending the Strictly Ballroom event at the Dunblane Hydro but we were unable to get accomodation there so we booked here instead as it was just down the road from the Hydro. However it was a lovely surprise when we arrived at the Westlands. The house is very grande with a large driveway and gardens to the front. Our very large bedroom (Rm 5) had 2 double beds with a huge bay window overlooking the gardens. The bathroom was clean and well set out and the shower had a good spray head. The room never quite got dark even with the lined curtains being closed as there were very bright lights outside. The bed was comfortable enough although a bit hard (I think it was very new and not been slept in much)
Breakfast the next morning was fine. The table was set up in a cosy lounge area. We were asked what cereal we would like and if we both required a cooked breakfast.. Our breakfast consisted of 2 slices bacon, 2 eggs, 2 sausages and 1/2 a tomato. We were also given 4 slices of toast 2 white and 2 brown accompanied by tea/coffee.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed to iron my dress and it was no problem for them to bring an iron and board up to our room. We would definitely stay here again.

I actually stumbled on this place only to find the most charming quaint hotel I have ever seen. But that wasn't even the best part, the staff were so amazing and helpful. I could not get a room here - and yet they spend over an hour helping me locate a suitable place at a reasonable rate. Having truly thoughtful innkeepers make sall the difference in the world.
